Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Chorim holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a great experience if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a smart choice, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
