We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and having a ball in Itanagar before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a smart option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
