Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Siran could be completely painless or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel docs, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite movies are always good options. If you plan to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive at your destination feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The best way to ensure a comfortable flight can be as simple as the clothes you wear. Prepare for changes in temperature by bringing layers. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin starts to cool down. Shoes like stilettos, flip flops and lace-up boots are best left for other occasions. Even though they may be your favorites, go for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will appreciate it.
- You've probably heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There's plenty you can do to lower your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks, stay well hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
