We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and enjoying Skala Potamias before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack your passport, travel docs, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your number one priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a wise option, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
