Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Sunny Beach could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some useful hints that will help you start your unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, any medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by donning layers, and opt for flat, closed-toe shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
