Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organised. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Tilcara holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your legs and feet moving.
