Older home on Lake

The area is very nice, the home is a older home and needs some TLC. The septic tank needs emptied, was running down the yard, whe you showered, washed dishes or used bathroom, and it smelled like sewer when you went outside.

Anniversary weekend

A nice, small place to stay. The view wasn't what we expected based on the pictures, but it made for a very nice weekend getaway for our anniversary.

The architecture of the house, both inside and out, was gorgeous. It is really amazingly designed and very attractive, though old and needing some TLC at this point. There was no evidence of rodents like others mentioned in the past, but we noticed holes where they could get in. The back patio, the balcony over the water, and the private location within all the greenery were all wonderful. The dock had a hole leading to it and looked unstable, so we didn't venture onto it. More dish towels and dish cloths would have been nice. The bathroom in particular was beautifully designed and spacious. The loft was fun, and overall we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful and beautiful view of the lake

Very nice house on the lake. Perfect for a couple and a dog. You can enjoy the view from the dock on the lake or from a bench on a deck below the house. The bed on the loft is comfortable. We would stay there again.

Pleasant Lake getaway

The home was a nice lake cottage with great views of Mercer Lake. The pathway onto the dock and the overlooking deck are a bit aged, but worth utilizing. Nice sunbathing/swimming area on the floating dock. Outdoor patio and grill are a great location for dinner time.

Relaxing cabin on one of the best coastal lakes in Oregon

The location is perfect. Just enough off the beaten path, and yet close enough to quickly drive to town. This place is on Lake Mercer with its own dock. The location alone is worth the stay. Small and cozy, but feels spacious at the same time with vaulted ceilings and a large bathroom.

Clean home

Loved the cleanliness, no doggy smells, no bugs, bedding was clean up stairs. A very nice serine setting, quiet neighborhood. Did have some trouble with the lock box and finding Archer Rd. was a little tricky.

Great location

The home worked well for our needs except for the walkway to the dock which is extremely dangerous. There is no safe way to get to the dock unfortunately, which is one reason to rent this home.

Just what we were looking for, relaxing water access and privacy. I do think the condition of the stairs and dock and upper deck should be disclosed. While it was no problem for us, I could see it being a danger for many

Quaint and great location but worn.

This home is pleasantly old-fashioned. Exposed beams in loft bedroom make it unique. Other architecture shows the creativity if the builder. It is a beautiful location right in the water. As others have mentioned the parh to the boat dock is definitely narrow with roots and brush close to a person when walking to it. You have to pay attention when walking. Good news : the road to the left is a county road and you can put water craft in there and access is really easy. Location is a quick drive into Florance and the beaches.

Needs a lot of work

Beautiful setting but the house badly needs upkeep and repairs. All the walls are filthy dirty, there are several cracks and very soft spots in the floor, the entire place feels very unsafe. I was pretty nervous about all the safety concerns but we’re only here a day and a half so decided to tough it out.

Lake house

There was just two of us who stayed here for a few days and it was a lovely home. I would say it would be a little small for 6 people, but for just the two of us there was plenty of space. I forgot shampoo and conditioner and was very happy that there were travel sized ones provided (and makeup remover wipes which was a plus). I was nervous after reading the reviews about the walk to the dock, but honestly I had no problem getting to and from the dock. We are in our twenties so I can see how it might be a little dangerous for young kids (just be cautious with steps). But overall we had a great stay and it was a great price. Very quiet during the day and night.

Lake Home

I loved the view, location , and the cozy house. House was sparkling clean and well stocked with everything I needed. There were a couple of issues. The steps down to the dock were very dangerous. There was a huge gap between the steps and the dock. Steps in several places were not easy to navigate. Careful for kids, elderly, and pets. The bed was so soft and awful. I had to sleep on the couch.

Great location but house/property needs serious TLC

We loved being so near Mercer Lake. However, many things inside and outside need replacement or repair. The path down to the dock was precarious. The front porch steps were not level. The steps leading to the dock were not in good condition and precarious. The ladder from the water onto the dock was rusty and wobbly. Inside the house, there were several creaky and loose floorboards and the futons are very old with not very comfortable mattresses. Overall, it was not unclean but just did not feel very well maintained.
