Great Stay!

Loved our stay! The beginning was a little rough, entrance to parking process did not work- fob not needed. A code was necessary. Temporary elevator issue( only one available due to construction), fixed within the hour- good response to call per staff!!! Thereafter, no problems and totally enjoyed waking up ‘on’ the beach. Every amenity needed was available, pleasant environment, clean and felt safe. Good central location to our vacation plans and easy travel access. Loved the generous feeling of the rooms. Will look forward to returning to Go Fly A Kite!

Excellent Beachside Stay

Spacious condo located directly on the beach. Expansive views from the balcony of the beach, ocean and pier. Easy walk to beach, pier, shops and restaurants. Short drive into Charleston as well. We loved walking the pier and watching the sunset. Ate at Pier 101, Loggerhead’s (which is right across from the condos) and Rita’s. Condo was well equipped for cooking other meals at home.

Folly Fun

Condo was perfect for us to come and go as we pleased--the proximity to the downtown, pier, beach, and pool couldn't be any better. The property was clean and well kept. We will definitely stay here next time we come to Folly Beach.

Excellent location, nice accommodations, and efficient rental process!

The condo was perfectly located on the beach, and near restaurants and local shopping. It was clean, with a stocked kitchen, all linens provided, making our stay very comfortable. Communications with the property manager were efficient and helpful throughout the rental process and during our stay when needed. We would return to this location.

Location, location, location!

The proximity to the beach, two pools, and walking distance to restaurants and Bert's market make this the ideal location, whether traveling as a family, couple, or group of friends. The condo itself is clean and well appointed and offers an oasis to relax in cool AC after a day in the sun, recharging for the next day's activities. Unbeatable views

This property is in a beautiful location, right on the beach. The view is really amazing. Also, the condo was very clean on arrival. The only cautions I would give is to pay attention to the pool calendar before you book - we stayed in late March and didn't realize it would be closed. Also, the bathrooms are in need of some updating; the sink faucets are older and leak a bit. The shower in the primary bedroom was great, though. The supplies in the kitchen are good - we tend to cook rather than eat out, and we had everything we needed. Overall, I highly recommend this rental and would stay there again.

Disappointing

The pictures are overly complimentary for what we experienced. It wasn’t quite up to 600/night, in my opinion. This unit is in need of many updates to floors, windows, doors, kitchen, bathrooms, furniture and better quality linens in order not to appear as more of a “motel” experience. Location is good, beachfront is of course nice. The door to the balcony was quite difficult to open and shut however and the handle broke the last day of our stay. Security on windows and doors is also remiss. I was told not to worry because “this isn’t New York City” but when I’m traveling, especially with a little one, security is of utmost importance, no matter where we are. There were some other hiccups as well but I won’t describe them all here. The property managers were nice and attentive to trying to get things fixed but the unit is just old.

Great Location - Nice Unit

This unit is in a great location and offers a stunning view. It offers Beach Living! We were traveling with 3 generations of family (6 of us total), so the 3 bedroom / 3 bath set up gave everyone the space they needed for privacy. Our parents are elderly and this complex offered an elevator near our unit. I rated the unit 4 stars (but would have given a 3.5 if it was available). Positives: perfect location, good communication from the management company, mostly clean, the patio was large enough for all 6 of us, and it met our needs. Negatives: the photos make the unit appear nicer than it is. The unit has a new floor and a few other updates, but it needs more work. The ceilings have water stains in the bathrooms. The cabinetry is low quality and worn/dirty inside. The plumbing fixtures are old and beat. The stove took a very long time to heat up and cook, some of the furniture has seen better days, and the dishes, utensils, etc are worn out & mismatched. A few were found dirty. To sum it up - we would visit Folly Beach again, work with this management company and consider this complex (note: the complex could also use an exterior refresh)...but we would seek out a different unit that offered higher quality amenities.

Spring break with family

We loved our stay! I was traveling with senior family members and the convenience of the location to everything on Folly was a great relief! Highly recommend!

Not what I expected

Already gave info on what we went through. We got misinformation regarding renovations on one side along with dredging sand right over our front balcony. We had bright lights pointed toward our unit at night and the constant noise of trucks backing up day and night. We also bought swiffer to clean the floor..

Heaven on the beach

Overall, everything was great, but the unit could stand 2 major improvements. The couch and loveseat are completely shot, horribly uncomfortable, and need to be replaced. The master bath has a creepy dated tub, and small moldy shower. They should be ripped out, and replaced. Other than that, there were no hangers, very strange. The location, balcony, and falling asleep to the ocean was priceless! strasaflarger

Comfortable and convenient

Our family has been staying in short-term rentals on Folly for 13 years, and this is one of the best. The condo is well located, a short walk from all of our favorite shops and restaurants, with easy beach access. Check in was quick and easy, and the rental company quickly responded via text to any questions or concerns. The condo had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday weekend.

The view is a 10, the unit is not

I have to admit that I was quite shocked to see the condition of this unit after reading so many 10/10 reviews. I specifically chose this unit over others and want to provide some detail so that others don’t feel the same. Let’s first address what IS a 10 for this property: - the location is phenomenal and there are several restaurants just feet away - the views are amazing - you can watch the waves from the master bedroom while resting in bed and on the sofa - the communication from the rental company was proactive, kind, and professional - this unit has a great floorplan

Beautiful View

Wonderful! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The condo was clean, well equipped, and had a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants.
