Charming beach house

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Excellent location, super clean, comfortable, spacious and it felt like having a vacation at a family member’s home. We loved it!

Great house

Really enjoyed staying here. Great location to restaurants and beach. You can hear some live music at night from the bars, so bring earplugs if that bothers you. Loved the screened porch.

Great place to stay, so close to the Folly Beach hub all in walking distance of lots of fun things to do and restaurants to visit. Will try and stay again.

40 anniversary getaway

We had a wonderful week at Folly Beach the home was clean and nicely decorated ,we enjoyed the location for walking to restaurants and the beach wasn’t to far away .we would have liked to have a TV in the bedroom but made out fine with out it.we loved the screened in porch

Wedding weekend

This little beach cottage was everything it was advertised and so much more. Everything needed was already provided. The furniture was comfortable, clean and perfect for the setting. The cottage is located close to everything but far enough away to still enjoy a quiet evening on the screened in porch. Would definitely recommend staying here to enjoy the quaint cottage vibe.

We had a delightful stay in this vintage beach house. It was an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shopping, and everything we needed. It was clean, with comfy beds, and everything we needed. Loved the complimentary sunscreen products.

Short walk to the beach made easy with the provided beach buggy and chairs. Even shorter walk to all the restaurants in Folly. House is comfortable and charming. Fenced-in yard for the pups is super convenient.

This house was perfect for two couples. It is old beach house that has been really been taken care of. It was in excellent shape: clean, quiet, had all the things you needed, furnace and A/C worked well, beautifully furnished, etc. It was very comfortable place, right in the middle of Folly Beach: walking distance to the some great restaurants (Lost Dog and Taco Boy) and few miles from others (Bowens Island Restaurant) and just few blocks from beach. We would highly recommend it! We will stay there on our next trip to Folly Beach.

Close to Center Street

Large screened in porch, not a quiet location, centered between a 24/7 Laundromat, stayed busy all hours of the day and night with who knows who, sketchy. Next to the city employees parking lot, police and fire, another 24/7, not sketchy. Take it for what it’s worth, still nice.

In the middle of all the action

Our family of 4+1 (two adults, two teens and a dog) have stayed here for two weeks in June. The house is perfectly located a block from all the bars and restaurants as well as two blocks from the beach. You need less than 5 mins walking to get to everything Folly has to offer. The house itself is charming and well stocked. The screened porch is very large and great to spend time in. The back yard is very small, but fully gated so our small dog could spend time there. The responsiveness of the property manager was great - we had an internet outage, AT&T's problem, but it was quickly addressed. Overall, we had great time and recommend this property if you want to stay on Folly Island.

Okay but not Exceptional

Let’s start with the positives: Parking was nice, the beach cart and beach chairs were in very good condition. The outside hose was a bonus. The location was centrally located and although it’s close to the action, you really don’t hear much. The covered porch was nice and provided extra space. It was clean and plenty of items were provided. Having a fence around the side yard was great and it was well lit at night. Beds were nice too. Now for the negatives:There is no bathroom door in the “master” making it awkward for certain bathroom needs. The decor is slightly different than what’s shown in the photos. It smelled a little musty upon arrival. The landscaping is underwhelming. The shrubs in front make it very difficult to view oncoming traffic. The “yard” is full of pine straw. The pine straw could be the reason why we saw so many palmetto bugs in the house. Not sure what a palmetto bug is? It’s a huge roach. And they are living. And they were everywhere. It really creeped me out. The toilets are tiny (my husband wanted to make sure this was mentioned for other males). We enjoyed our trip but won’t rent this place again. The cleanliness just didn’t make up for the bugs.

Perfect Folly Bungalow

This was a convenient and relaxed beach getaway. Arrival and check in were easy as the instructions were very clear. The house was clean and tidy. I enjoyed looking at the artwork, perusing the books, and reading the Folly history provided by the host. The screened in porch may have been my favorite feature. There were blinds which allowed for more privacy as many people walk, bike, and drive down West Hudson road frequently. I also really enjoyed the location of this house - we walked around everywhere and never even had to use our car. We walked to the beach each day and used the cart and chairs provided. The cart was a bit cumbersome but it can carry a lot! The only issue we had during our stay was the hot water heater, but the owners were very responsive and had the issue fixed very quickly. Also, the 2 bedrooms each have a queen bed. I’m guessing the king is the pull out couch which could have just been an oversight on my part. Overall, I loved the history and character of this house while also appreciating the location! I would definitely stay here again.
