"I booked a room at the Seaview because of the exterior vibe; the infinity pool along the boardwalk. Be aware that it's all a facade. I feel like I got catfished. The rooms are absolutely horrible! The video says it's newly renovated but please know it's only the outside that is renovated. While the outside is beautiful, the interior looks worse than a Motel 6. The only good thing I can say about the inside is that the air conditioning did work very well. Also be aware that EVERYTHING shuts down at night. Very difficult to even find food to eat after 5pm. "

"I had a great stay at Midtown Motel in Philipsburg for a month! The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed: a big fridge, strong air conditioning, and reliable Wi-Fi—perfect for my remote work. It’s just a minute’s walk from the beach and boardwalk, and parking is easy. The area is quiet and safe, and the staff was incredibly attentive—always offering fresh towels and keeping everything tidy. Plus, the little patio was a nice spot to relax. The price was absolutely fair, and the owner and staff were super friendly. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a comfortable stay!"

"We had an ocean view room with a balcony. It was wonderful to be able to sit out and see the ocean! The room could use some up dates but was very functional with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker. Breakfast was more than enough with many choices. We brought some of the food back to habe for snacks or lunch!! All staff were friendly and accommodating! Very busy area with lots of shops and restaurants. "

"This may not be the most elegant hotel on the island, but in my opinion it is the best. The food at the Gingerbread Cafe rivals any top class restaurant and the mini-mart, albeit small, has anything that you may want. If they don't they will get if for you. Also, you can fill out a grocery list and they will stock your room with those items so that they are there when you arrive. All rooms have two bedrooms and bathrooms. Two large couches in the living area, one being a sleeper. A small kitchen but with anything that you would need if you decided to cook. Dining table with 4 chairs. There is a TV in both bedrooms and the living room. Each unit has a very large porch overlooking the beach and the ocean. Great housekeeping service everyday. The staff are exceptional. It is a couple of minutes walk on a pathway by the beach to the hotel next door if you choose to eat at the restaurants there, but with the Gingerbread Cafe available, there really is not a need. I do have to admit that if you are a pool person, theirs is very small, but it isn't really needed with the ocean right there. The price is great and you should really try out this hidden gem."
