Waterfront Weekend

We really enjoyed our weekend overlooking the intracoastal waterway. The apartment was cute and clean, the location was perfect- great views of the water and a short walk to the ocean beaches!

Weekend Stay before Cruise

We had a lovely two night stay before leaving on our cruise. It was peaceful and entertaining watching all the boats go by in the canal from the pier, pool, and windows in the apartment. A short walk to the beach with nice chairs and an umbrella provided by the host. Comfortable bed and furniture. The host responded quickly and accommodated my allergies to fragrance and chemicals. She was also very gracious to let us return to retrieve a left item from the cleaning crew after check out.

Even thought the bathroom is a little dated the views from this property are amazing! It was cool to watch the boats going by. It's cozy and perfect a couple. The bed was super comfy. I hate we didn't get to spend more time at the condo. My ONLY con was when I was trying to get in the property (our flight was delayed and we got in late). It was my fault as far as the mix up on getting in but I tried calling and text to only end up calling VRBO. They did get in touch with the owner but she would not talk to me on the phone b/c of language barrier on her part. That to me is not ok. If you are going to have a rental then be able to communicate. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars. I would definitely stay here again.

Great View

The apartment was cozy and the grounds well kept. We had a great view of the canal. We would stay at this property again. It was also about a mile walk to the beach which was great as parking is a premium on the water front.

So relaxing!

This place was great! I met the concierge upon arrival and he assured me if i needed anything he was right next door. The view was amazing! I felt safe in this place and will definitely stay agin when i go back to florida!

Hidden Gem on the Intracoastal in Pompano Beach

Beautiful property with even better views of the Intracoastal. Condo was immaculate and only minutes away from the beach. I would certainly recommend it.

Intracoastal View

Property is right on the intracoastal and was interesting to watch the boats speeding by whilst sunning yourself on the dock. Unit was as described but could do with a little TLC with some of the furnishings as they were little worn and could be easily rectified. Overall unit was clean and comfortable and host kept in touch during our stay.

Fabulous location and view

Cute condo on 2nd floor of OG resort, undergoing some renovations/updating during our stay. Clean, in good working order, as noted in other reviews, bathroom is older decor however, is clean and in good working order. A/C, bed and other furniture was comfortable. Parking was awesome, proximity to Pompano Beach fantastic, and view of the intercoastal was lovely. Monica was a superb and timely communicator. Would totally stay again.

Waterway Beach and Pool!

We enjoyed our stay here very much! The waterway provides great views and boat traffic. The beach is truly just about a 5 minute walk. The room provides beach chairs and umbrella. We utilized many aspects of the kitchen and it worked well. The pool is OPEN and very nice. The condo is clean and comfortable. Checking in and out was easy. Monica did not have a long list of have too’s at check out which was nice, even though we cleaned up after ourselves. We would stay again.

Pros: Quiet, bed was so comfy, living room and kitchen updated. Good communication from Monica. Close to the beach. Location good. The condo offered beach gear. Linens were clean, in good condition and we had plenty.Cons: Much of the condo was filthy. I gave my feedback to Monica and she said she was there the day we left and didn’t see anything that was dirty. As can be seen by the pics, her response is unbelievable. I am also so confused as to how this condo continues to get excellent reviews. If there is an issue with our stays, I usually reach out to the host to give them a chance to correct the issue but the lack of concern on her part forced me to leave a negative review so future travelers know the reality before booking. I am hopeful that Monica just does a thorough cleaning and some repairs and the condo would be fine.

Could have been perfect but

Nice location. Walking distance to the beach. View of intracoastal spectacular. Unfortunately pool was closed and we could not enjoy the site. Would have been nice to be advised since was part of the advantages we paid for. Make sure it is as description.

Great Stay!

This was a great location to stay at. We initially looked at staying ocean facing but opted for this location instead, VERY happy with our choice and would totally recommend. It's a nice, quiet, clean condo and was perfect for my husband and I. Having an assigned parking spot made getting parked and unloaded very easy. We got there around 10pm, so that convenience was appreciated! The bed is a bit more firm than we are used to so that was a little different, just be prepared for that. The living space was comfortable and we loved having the pool right downstairs. We spent most of our time in the pool or on the loungers along the canal. We grilled dinner both nights we were there, which was super convenient. We would highly recommend this location and plan to return in the future!

We loved everything about it, comfortable, peaceful, well appointed spotless, clean. Only issue was the lockbox would not open on our departure. We had to leave the key inside the door. There was no way to contact the owner. VRBO recommends contact the owner. This site had no owner information and no link on how to reach someone. At 6a, no one else in the unit was awake either. So we have to assume the owner has another key and will find ours inside the door when they open the unit - sorry. This didn’t work.

Gorgeous 1 bedroom condo

When we walked in, we couldn't believe the little slice of heaven we'd found. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and decorated in the most calming beach vibes. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful view of the intercostal waterway. The king bed was so comfortable. The kitchen, while tiny, met our every need. We didn’t eat out, cooked every meal in - simply had to wash dishes after every meal because there's no room to let them pile up... and that was a blessing because the kitchen was always tidy after every meal. The pool was so nice and clean and there were steps to it right outside our door. There is a very nice patio to sit on right outside the door as well and it is always cool because it is in the breezeway. Everyone we met was friendly, and many of them had been staying at Aloha for years. We're a little older so drove to the beach rather than walked. It was very close, just further than we could walk with all our beach stuff. Very nice park just down the street, and very close to the fishing pier. There's also a nice park north about a mile or two. You pay to park everywhere, but it's only $2.00 an hour. Nice fishing at the Hillsboro Park, but you do need to purchase a fishing license. I think it was $17 for three days...very reasonable. Close to Publix and tons of nice restaurants. We'd recommend this place to anyone. Was a perfect getaway for the two of us!

Nice Unit for a Short Stay

Pros: clean, quiet, nice pool and view of intracoastal waterway. Parking is easy and close to entrance. Note: 2nd story property requiring a flight of stairs. This is mentioned in the description but I missed it. Cons: minimal electric lighting in the unit. Livingroom main light fixture didn't work and one lamp didn't work. The other lamp wasn't plugged in because it's not near any outlet. Luckily, I had an extension cord and was able to use the lamp by plugging the extension cord into dining room outlet. Small kitchen with smaller than normal oven. Minimal equipment to cook with but fine for light meals or bringing in take-out/delivery. Note: laundry is shared in unit and must pay for it. No laundry inside unit - I don't feel this is clear in the description so sharing it here. Bed is a split king style - 2 singles put together on a shared frame. This didn't bother me but might be of concern for couples. Notes inside the unit requested A/C be kept 74-78 degrees. That's too warm for me and I don't leave my own home that warm so didn't follow this. To say a unit has A/C and then ask people to keep the temperature warmer in Florida in the summer - didn't care for this.
