Overall Nice Stay, but Not Without Issues

Cute location (though lots of construction nearby), roomy with well-stocked kitchen.The issues:Property is decently outdated for the price of the rental. Room above garage is totally detached and smells like mold.Friday 6:35am we received a text from property management that the owner had to briefly check on his boat due to an alarm going off. Sunday late afternoon he walked in while we were all in the pool. He claimed he was never told by property management that the house was occupied. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. This was certainly the last thing we expected as guests.Our group stayed for a weekend sports tournament, and little did we know that our entire road would be completely blocked off due to a marathon taking place. We had ordered breakfast to the house which was never able to be delivered, and we were late to our first games as we could not leave the street. As guests from the west coast it would have been courteous for the host to notify us of a potential event like that. It cost us a lot of time and money. I left a few items in the house that I realized upon arriving home. I contacted immediately and offered to pay for shipping to have them returned. The property manager said this was possible and they would have their team look. I told them the exact location and after a week of hearing nothing and reaching out daily, they said the items couldn't be located. I had to reach out every time to get this information. Unprofessional.
