The house was beautifully decorated and had wonderful views. I just noticed that this place is now shown as gulf view rather than 'direct beach access' which is what was shown when we agreed to rent. We would not have rented if we had known it was just a gulf view since beachfront was part of our filter. To get to the beach you had to go approximately 1 mile down the road to the first public beach access.We asked to have the pool heated when we arrived on Sunday Feb 8. It was not heated and after much going back and forth, the propane tank was filled on Thursday Feb 12. We were reimbursed for those days but the firepit and barbecue were also not usable for the same reason during that time. There are no instructions for anything in the house so we had to figure the TV on our own (one of the needed remotes had missing batteries which we had to replace). the washing machine only worked if you placed a pod in the drum. The liquid detergent compartment was clogged because someone had placed a pod in there and detergent would no longer go through (I know this because I removed the remnants of a pod from that compartment). We had purchased liquid detergent and had to go out and buy pods because of this. The beach gear consists of a shovel and 2 pails - no beach chairs. There are not really any children's games (1000 piece puzzle, scrabble). There were 2 large trash barrels overflowing trash bags and extra trash on the ground that had holes in them (probably from animals)
