Seaside Fort Ord Dunes State Park Hotels

"STAY AWAY - rats rats rats rats - We only stayed there one night but starting around 3am we could hear munching and scratching inside the walls around the unit ( corner/end unit - upstairs - ) …. after knocking on the wall, the scratching/munching would stop for maybe 10 or 15 seconds. …. The whole hotel needs better maintenance and a really good cleaning; the owners dont seem to do much to keep things working and looking decent for the guests. ….. very dirty room; around edges of the room it was very obvious that they didnt spend much time cleaning. …. the thinnest blankets i’ve ever seen at a hotel. … breakfast area super small; you were bumping into other guests at the 4 TABLES. ( cereal, milk, frozen waffles, white sliced bread for toast, yogurt, fruit juices and a coffee machine. ….. nothing “BEST” about this property. Best Western should pull their name off of this property."

"Yes, and some very good restaurants! Beach is literally a 5 minute walk. The staff at the motel were very helpful and gracious!!"

"Room was extremely small. We have stayed there before and had a wonderful space. Bathroom door had to be pulled shut with two people. I asked for a microwave one staff member said it would be in our room when we returned but it wasn’t. I called and asked for it again and was told they don’t do that. So which is it? I spent over $1,000 for a two night stay and my accommodations should have been much better than it was. Extremely disappointed! "
