The location of the home was ok for visiting the monuments and museums. We had a dog with us and it was pet friendly big back yard. The cleanliness of the home was ok although the beds we good but the pillows needs to be replaced. There was a living space down stairs where the owner lives but it wasn’t a problem. I just suggest that put a lock on that door. On the whole the experience was good.
Main issue was when we first got there at night it appeared like an abandoned house. It was dark, no exterior lights on and grass was overgrown. It made me feel uneasy. I also didn’t realize there was someone staying in the basement, but it’s my fault I didn’t read the listing well enough. Other than that the home interior is nice as shown in the picture. It was convenient for a family visit.
Not the worst but not the best! I had to contact host to receive the check in information. It was supposed to be sent but they forgot. The listing states a washer and dryer. This is located outside of the property and accessed by a separate entrance. When we checked in we were not not given 4 towels and 2 wash cloths. I tried to contact the property manager, however, they never responded to me. I had to go to Walmart and purchase additional towels and washcloths for my entire party, which was listed as six on my reservation. On Wednesday of our trip the downstairs tenant stopped us and explained how to access the washer and where I could find additional towels and washcloths. I checked in the previous Sunday. The listing states that it is a close commute to Washington DC, however, it is about a 45 minute drive into Washington DC every day if you are not in rush-hour. If you are looking at this rental for a trip to visit Washington DC, you will need to drive in as there is no public transportation easily accessible from this rental.
