Conveniently and perfectly located! Our cottage is located on a quiet dead end street yet walking distance to shops, restaurants, live music, markets, the amtrak station and all that downtown Freeport has to offer. A short drive to Wolfe's Neck State Park, Bradbury Mountain State Park, Mast Landing Audubon Sanctuary, the Desert of Maine and the beautiful mid-coast coastline.

It would be great if they put in a half bath on second floor, maybe where the desk in the hall is now. It is a little difficult to get up in the night and have to go downstairs, also the bedroom doors need WD 40 for squeaking. We love the place and this is our 4th visit!!

Convenient location in a cozy setting
Walking distance to LLBean and Freeport shopping areas and 25 min drive to Portland but still felt remote and private. Excellent communication with host, Maranda. House was basic but equipped with everything we needed (host even checked to make sure during our stay) and spotlessly clean.
