We were looking for a quiet place to get some much needed outside in nature time during Christmas week. Mermaid Cove was perfect. Every day we ran, biked and paddled--there are a plethora of options--and watched the sunrises and sunsets. The Fripp Island staff were very pleasant and helpful, but we definitely saw no need for access to the "amenities." If you're looking for recommendations on running, biking or paddling, Margaret knows how to reach us.

This place is magical..you can't help but be happy hanging out here..great decor, and well appointed. Comfy beds also, a big plus! We spent many hours on the lovely screened in porch too, taking in the marsh views and the visiting creatures. We def plan on coming back.

Fripp’in Amazing

Staying at this home was a wonderful experience. Located marsh side to give a nice break from the beach with amazing sunset views you will love the energy this home provides. Golf cart makes you feel like one of the residents as you cruise the island in style. Kitchen provides what you need to make some delish food and all the great amenities you need after a day in the sun. The screened porch makes for coffee mornings and cocktail events to be so perfect. Owner is very responsive and kind, making sure your trip goes beyond your expectations. I highly recommend, and I will stay here again. Fripp Life!!

Perfect Peaceful Getaway at Mermaid Cove

Look no further…Mermaid Cove is perfect, peaceful Fripp paradise. The cottage is well stocked and decorated beautifully. The show stopper is the screened in porch overlooking the marsh. Those views are simply enchanting and only made better with morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. Margaret is amazing to work with. We will most definitely be back.

Amazing accommodations

We can't give enough stars for the amazing hospitality and concern we received from the owner. Unfortunately, we left early because of Hurricane Helene. We received a text message from her checking on our well being. She is amazing, as well as her cottage! DEFINITELY recommend staying here, as will will DEFINITELY be back! Thank you for the wonderful accommodations and hospitality! Youre an amazing host!

Fun and beautiful

The back porch is amazing for morning coffee and sunsets! We loved the golf cart and the beach. The decor is so FUN. The owner was easy to work with and we will definitely be back!

Amazing Stay

The house was decorated beautifully and all necessary supplies were provided. Even beach towels and starbuck's coffee! The beds were very comfortable. The property owner showed up within 30 mintues after a maintenance request with a technician. We highly recommend!

A wonderful getaway with a stunning sunset view

We loved this little cottage on Fripp! Everything was so clean and well stocked. The property owner was so sweet, attentive and helpful. She was super responsive to any questions we had while there. The decor was fun and the kids loved the place. The marsh sunset view was breathtaking and the back porch was so peaceful. Having the golf cart included was awesome and so convenient. This cottage would be perfect for a couple with kids or two couples in general. Highly highly recommend. Fripp itself was amazing. From the deer that would walk right up to you, to the beautiful views of the marsh and ocean, to all the activities to do on the island, we absolutely fell in love with the place. We will be coming back here for years to come.

Amazing property

Mermaid Cove was an amazing condo for our family. As a kid my grandfather had a 2 bedroom condo at tennis villa and it’s were I spent my summers. Mermaid cove was the exact layout with major upgrades. The screened in back porch with the amazing sunsets is were we spent every night. The other great perk with this place is if you forgot to pack it, this place has it already. Comes fully stocked with beach chairs, beach buggy, golf cart, condiments, plates, etc… saved us a lot of time packing and money.. Fripp island is a treasure. If you looking for a quite vacation without all the tourist congestion then this is your place. I would highly recommend Mermaid Cove for your next vacation

Great property- especially if needing specific dates

We have vacationed on Fripp for years and years and have stayed in multiple places. We have never stayed on the marsh and really enjoyed it! The screened in porch at Mermaid Cove is worth booking this property! The owner has made access to the beach as easy as anyone possibly could. The golf cart, chairs and wagon provided were great. The property itself is uniquely decorated and absolutely everything was thought of to make everyone's stay perfect. We needed specific dates for this particular stay and could not commit to a week-long rental like most places require on Fripp in the summer. This property was a gem to find! The owner was extremely responsive to any issue that popped up. We were comfortable, happy and made lots of memories as a family during our stay. Highly recommend!

We were thrilled with our vacation!

From the minute I saw this listing online I knew it was “my place!” The decor is even better than it looks online. It’s the cutest place we have ever rented. Margaret was available to answer all of our questions. Her hospitality was impeccable. Despite being small, the kitchen is incredibly well equipped. We cooked most of our meals. We had all we needed. Beds are comfy. Cable and internet worked great. Golf cart was a blast. View from the porch is gorgeous. We ALL loved our week at Fripp. I wouldn’t dream of staying elsewhere (unless we come with a larger group.) The Mermaid cottage is PERFECT for 4-5 people. I LOVED this little spot so much!!!

Our favorite vacation spot

This is our second stay at Mermaid Cove and it did not disappoint. The house fits our family of 5 perfectly. Seating and bedding throughout are super comfy and the whimsical decor makes for a fun time. Our favorite spot is the back porch to look over the beautiful marsh with morning coffee and watch the sunsets in the evenings. One of the best views on the island! Margaret thinks of everything and has all the little extras covered. We look forward to coming back again.
