This cottage is very close to Charleston Lake Provincial Park, and we made great use of the park pass that was included with our stay. “Our stay at the JEMH Cottage was everything we wanted it to be. Our one daughter and son-in-law were with us and their three daughters ages 17, 8, 6 and our younger daughter and son-in-law and their 1year old daughter. They all said they had the “the best time ever. Everyone had comfortable beds to sleep in, even the 1 year old had a pack-n-play available for her. The cottage was very clean inside. We enjoyed the boat and kayaks. The little girls enjoyed fishing right off the dock. The weather……

“Cozy, clean, calm, cottage with canoes! We stayed here once two summers ago and my son asked us about it this year, prompting us to plan another getaway. We booked two nights for us and our friends with their toddler. We spent the whole time in or around the house or the beach, relaxing. Kayaking on the river and seeing the goats are highlights each time. Renfu is very hospitable, answering all our questions and keeping the grounds tidy. “Housing an eclectic mix of historic character and modern amenties, the Stonewood retreat is a great place to stay within short distance of Kingston and Gananoque. The huge bathtub is great for a relaxing soak. The large kitchen is big enough for prepping meals with a group. The solid wood accents throughout the house give homage to its past.
