My sister and I spent 4 nights here and it was wonderful. We were a little way from the down town but access was not an issue. Bus was right outside our door. The people were so nice and helpful. The restaurant was great. Would definitely come back.

Geweldig, school,vriendelijk meedenkend personeel. We moesten door annulering vlucht langer blijven en vonden dat echt geen straf. Onze spullen werden door het personeel over gezet naar een andere kamer, kamers zijn schoon,netjes,wat lekkers op de kamer, fles water, koffie,thee. Receptie en bedienend personeel heel lief en behulpzaam. Zeer goed eten met ruime keuzes.wij komen hier graag terug. Deze mensen hebben ons zo goed verzorgd!! Heel blij mee

Dieses Hotel ist einfach unbeschreiblich toll. Die Lage war für uns perfekt und in der Nebensaison schön ruhig. Jeden Morgen gab es ein persönliches Frühstück mit einer kleinen Überraschung. Das Apartment war super ausgestattet und hatte jede Menge Platz. Das Personal war stets freundlich zu den Gästen. Vielen Dank noch mal für die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten zum 50. Geburtstag. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut. Das Essen im Restaurant ist einfach einzigartig. Wir haben selten so gut gegessen. Dieses Hotel ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Das Personal, aber auch das Zimmer und die Lage des Hotels sind herausragend. Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an sehr wohl gefühlt. Due Anbindung zur Stadt mit dem Bus 22, aber auch mit der Gondel sind hervorragend. Und selbst ein Taxi kostete uns 13 Euro.

Beautiful setting high above the city and the crowds, right next to the cable car with a return trip to the town centre. The rooms were spacious and had a shower [finally] to die for - great pressure; loads of hot water and spacious! The attached restaurant was busy with people coming up on the cable car to have lunch, afternoon tea or to wander around the Botanical Gardens, the Tropical gardens or the wicker basket luge close by. The staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly and always available.

Exceptional accommodation.

We received excellent service during our 3 day stay. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was exceptional, both for the breakfast included and for dinner in the evening. The varied menu and quality of food exceeded our expectations. The location was also excellent for travellers with a car. It was well placed to access local walks and to explore the mountains higher up. Parking was always available in the property car park during our stay in mid October.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Babosas Village. Right in the middle of a bunch of attractions. The hotel was clean, the staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was great! The dinner menu was also amazing! Sonia and Joao always made us feel so welcome and helped us with anything we needed. Definitely recommend staying here !

This was a great option for us! It was far away enough from tourists but still gave us plenty of options of things to do and an amazing view. The restaurant was good and convenient, albeit a little on the expensive side, but that’s the price of convenience. The housekeeper was incredible! Our room was spotless and all supplies were restocked each day when we came home from our tours. Breakfast starts at 8:30am and most of the tours start at either 8:30 or 9, so it’s a bit tight but you have a refrigerator and a microwave and oven in your room, so you’re set as long as you hit up a supermarket. The hair dryer was great. The beds were comfy enough. You have Ubers and public transit right there since it’s such a popular location for the gondolas and the tropical garden. I loved it! There’s a ton of walking opportunities and it’s sooo safe. I would take my kids out to walk uphill every night if they were crazy. Overall great pick for families who stay active.

This little hidden gem is absolutely fabulous. The hotel has a very boutique, exclusive style. It's clean, beautiful, convenient, and the staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. Separate shout out to the superb restaurant, especially the breakfast. I've never seen so much delicious food, served for breakfast, that is included in the price. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Excellent hotel, would recommend to anyone to stay here. The staff were amazing, very helpful and went over and above with their level of service to make the stay wonderful. I didn't realise when booking but this hotel is in the most perfect location. Within a very short walk there are 2 fantastic cable cars, one takes you down into Funchal the other down the mountainside to a botanical garden. Around the corner you can get a toboggan 2km down the hill towards Funchal which was great fun! Again a 2 minute walk to a really stunning botanical garden and palace. For 6 euros you can get a return service bus up into the mountains for some incredible walks/views. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, we arrived late and they made us food, packed us a picnic breakfast to take up the mountain and were always on hand to answer any questions and check we were happy. I cannot recommend this place enough, it was absolutely fantastic!

Unterkunft war sehr schön und gut ausgestattet. Personal und Service waren exzellent und sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Da die Seilbahn in der Nähe ist, sind meist früh schon einige Leute da, aber das stört nicht weiter. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
