Classy - Nice Views

My family stayed at this property for 7 days. Overall, it was nice with some very nice views. Marta greeted us upon our arrival - she was very nice, accommodating and provided us with some great suggestions of places to go/see, as well as some traditional Madeiran foods to try! She gave us a bottle of Madeira wine, cookies and a tote bag that came in handy when shopping! The property had several maintenance issues (i.e., AC wasn't working; the shower/tub leaked water onto the floor that we had to mop up after each use; the faucet in the bathroom moved when turning hot/cold on; broken door hinge on refrigerator) which were all reported to the property manager and were told they would be addressed after we left our stay. If you are renting a car, I would suggest getting a small one (we had a Ford Focus) or you'll have an issue parking in the garage - it's very tight to maneuver in/out. We opted to park on the street outside the building to avoid risking damage to our rental. The biggest issue we had was the broken A/C, especially being it was very hot and humid during our stay. We reported it upon our arrival but unfortunately, it wasn't fixed during our 7-day stay. The PM did provide us with 2 fans for the bedrooms which helped a little. There is a conveniently located Continente supermarket just a 5 min. drive from the property and several cafe's and restaurants within walking distance and others just a short drive away.
