I found a home-away-from-home for me and my furry kid on Gabriola!The cabin was everything I was looking for! A refuge, cradled by tall trees, emphasizing tranquillity and simple living. The location was perfect for exploring the island and all it has to offer. The hosts were wonderfully welcoming, helpful and easy-going. And WOW… the breakfasts were a work of art every morning! Thank you, Nancy and Gregory, for making me feel special!

Nancy was a wonderful host—friendly and welcoming—and her breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The accommodation is quiet, conveniently located, and perfectly suited for two people. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit. We want to be honest so future guests can make an informed decision. Unfortunately, the space appeared not to have been properly cleaned before our arrival. There were cobwebs in several areas, the floors and carpet seemed like they hadn’t been vacuumed in some time, and surfaces such as the kitchen counters and inside the fridge were dirty.Because of these cleanliness issues, I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this place to family or friends.

We had a nice stay at the Hobbit House. Nancy was a wonderful host- very easy to communicate with, and so welcoming of myself, my three friends, and my dog. The place is a functional spot- works just fine as a base camp and had everything we needed/expected. The home itself was a bit damp/humid- totally fine, but just something we noticed. Great value, and the hot breakfast included was such a lovely touch! Thanks for a lovely stay on Gabriola!

We had such a lovely stay here. It was very tranquil peaceful and the hosts were just spectacular. All the little details that these guys add make such a big difference and let me tell you that breakfast that they make, is absolutely delicious. We took our infant, who is only nine months old and our puppy, and they made a little puppy plate and a little plate for our boy. We had such a lovely day and created some fantastic memories and hope to be back. We cannot thank these hosts enough.

we were so pleased with our stay at Hobbit at Canopy Ridge on Gabriola Island. Hosts were incredible, property was adorable and so serene with the wind rustling through the treetopsBreakfasts were delicious. Gabriola getaway

Fantastic location, close to everything and a nice quiet area for walking. The Hobbit had everything we needed and was comfy and so quiet! We really appreciated that dogs are welcome. Gregory, Nancy, Surfer and Tiki are perfect hosts! And the breakfasts......ooooh the breakfasts! : ) We can't wait to stay again.
