Perched on vines San Donato in Perano dates back to a medieval castle. The resort is restored into six individually owned cottages and apartments each with its own garden and terrace. Due to its outstanding beauty, San Donato in Perano is an iconic photo for distant photographers. On the south side on the pool terrace is an overwhelmingly adorable scene of the Chianti countryside lure, undulating vineyards, olive groves and forests dotted with hilltop look out towers and castles. This is the Chianti region.



Culture seekers will want to day trip to San Gimignano, Siena and Florence returning home to cerise coloured evening sunsets at San Donato in Perano. You may choose such an evening to stroll to the Frescobaldi winery at 800 metres for a wine tasting or dinner in their fragrant herb gardens, or you may choose to join the slow paced Tuscan lifestyle in Gaiole in Chianti at 2km or Radda in Chianti 6km both loaded with tempting local goodies. L'Eroica vintage bike course passes in front of the property. The event is held on the first Sunday in October.
