Perfect location!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property! Perfect location and plenty of outdoor space! Loved having individual towels on our beds when we arrived. We will most definitely book this house again, soon!

Great beachfront home

My sister was visiting from out of state and we thought it would be nice to go and stay in a home on the beach. The weather did not cooperate, but it was still a great trip. It was wonderful to be able to watch the ocean waves from the living room and kitchen area while visiting. The beach was quiet and peaceful and very relaxing. The home was extremely clean.

Long weekend stay

Cute ocean front beach house!

Our stay was short but enjoyable. The beach was easy to access and was just a few steps away. There were even extra beach toys, boogie boards and a few extra beach chairs. We brought our own but having the boogie boards was a nice thing!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute and clean home! They had all the necessary pots and pans for cooking meals & had both types of coffee makers. It was obvious they care about taking care of their home!

Girls Trip

This is our 4th time to stay at Beach Quest I believe. A group of 8-10 current and former co-workers take a trip each summer. This is by far our favorite house. Beach is mere steps from house and almost private. We rented a golf cart so us "older" ladies could get out on the beach. We had a blast!

Lovely house and great location

We were delighted with our stay. The house was well equipped and right on the beach. It felt private even on busy beach days with the holiday weekend. It's a great place for families or couples. You will want to bring shampoo and conditioner. We didnt find sugar, perhaps to avoid ants, but there were basic supplies and a good stock of utensils. There isnt a gas bbq, which I missed, bit not a big deal for a short stay. I highly recommend this beach house.

Perfect location

The property is in a perfect location, away from the crowds and not a bunch of structures on top of or besides one another. True beachfront with little to no traffic. The home itself has everything you need from dishes, silverware, mixer, coffee maker and so much more just bring your own things you like for foods and what not.Home and property was very well maintained and cleaned. Only thing we had issues with this trip was very low water pressure especially in the showers, but we were aware they were doing work on the local infrastructure and no fault to the actual property, but would def keep an eye on it knowing how that works. Communication throughout the booking process and even during the stay was very helpful, and attentive. Absolutely the best stay we have had on the Bolivar Peninsula. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay

No smoke alarm where it was suppose to be in the main living /kitchen area. Feces on the ground by sewer tanks. Looked like the sewer was cleaned out and left on the ground. Our dog stepped in it. Very clean inside the home. Neat and tidy. Just a few steps to the beach. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Location, But Needs Some TLC/Maintenance!

We enjoyed the location of the house, that was perfect! When we arrived, however, we were not hit with a 'WOW' factor at all... decor and conditions of some walls/ceiling/baseboards were in poor conditions, badly in need of paint touchups. The ceiling in the living room clearly shows water stains from previous leak, yet, it appears noone considered painting over the repairs, very unsightly to look at. The master bedroom has 1 picture (it appears that there used to be 2 but the remaining one has not been centered over bed, so looks awkward hanging over one side) with a sizable crack through the length of the picture... made me seriously wonder if in the middle of the night the picture fell, the glass would shatter and cut us on our faces/head. There are numerous spots in on walls, mostly in living room, master bed & bath that need paint touchups, living room recliner has a good size tear in the headrest and there is a small hole in hall bath door. Lastly, we had difficulty getting in upon check in as the door handle/lock is very finicky. We called the 'maintenance ph #' on the door and left a voicemail. Noone ever returned our call all weekend. The door handle continued to be very tricky the remainder of our stay, especially while in the house, it was hard to turn handle to exit. I gave overall rating of 3, because of the issues above. It was fine for my husband & I but had I invited family members/guest, I would have been embarrassed of the condition.

Perfect 50th Birthday Getaway!

We were couples, two teens and a mid size pup (almost 9year old) who loves the lake but has never experienced the ocean. I went out to plan a very last Vacay to celebrate my hubs bday but had had to find an available place with specific needs: drivable from MO, not on a crowded tourist area, dog friendly rental and and dog friendly beach, and directly on the beach. I looked up and down the East coast, and the Alabama/Florida coastlines with no luck before I remembered TX has a coastline too. I am so thankful we found the Bolivar Peninsula, it met our every need perfectly! I wouldn’t have changed anything about this past week. The beach was was virtually ours alone and literally our front yard. Our super uncrowded beach was ideal for our pup to explore the ocean and for the rest of us to relax. We could leave our beach chairs and other stuff out there while we came in for lunch with no worries. The house was perfection, we spent every meal on the deck. In fact when we weren’t on the beach or sleeping, we were on the deck. Gorgeous view! Only thoughts for owner/managements (definitely not deal breakers, just minor things that would have been nice) —Larger table/more seating on the deck. We made it work by bringing stools out, but they weren’t as comfortable as those with the backs. —Better skillets (gave up on making pancakes) —An inexpensive crockpot —softer sheets (not bad, but a bit itchy especially if you get any sunburn)
