With upscale Thermador appliances in the giant kitchen, and an electric fireplace in the living room, you'll feel right at home. Each bedroom has a full bathroom and wall-mounted Smart TV for relaxation after a day of soaking up the sun on one of four balconies or enjoying outdoor activities with family.

DriftAway to the Beach

Welcome to the beach life. Newer home 1 block from the beach. Beautifully decorated 5 bedroom 4 1/2 bath home just waiting for you to experience the best of the beach life. Sleeps 14. A 2 person elevator is available.

Giant kitchen with upscale Thermador appliances, refrigerator, 6 burner range and double oven, microwave, dishwasher, KitchenAid under counter ice maker and an oversized island. Fully stocked dinnerware setting, glassware, cooking accessories and everything needed to cook the dream vacation meal.

Each bedroom (bunk room excluded) has a full bathroom and wall mounted 42" Smart TV. Bunk room has 3 twin beds and 1 full bed, a wall mounted 42" Smart TV and a large selection of board games to keep the kids busy.

Living room has an electric fireplace, leather recliners and a 65" Smart TV. A queen size Murphy bed has been added in the living room for additional sleeping arrangements and comes with a fold up desk. View the beach from the dining room table that seats 10.

Take in views of the sunrise on the back porch. The home has 4 balconies with 2 Adirondack chairs and a small table on each deck. The main back balcony has 2 Adirondack chairs, 1 small table and 2 rocking Adirondack chairs. We recently added a latched gate on the main back deck for added safety. Sip a coffee or cocktail and just enjoy the views from any balcony.

Outside in the garage, have a seat in the lawn furniture while someone cooks your favorite meal with the gas barbecue. After a day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower. We have also included a Tesla charger in the garage for any electric vehicle that needs charging.

We had a small group for our Dads celebration of life. The house is absolutely beautiful and meticulous. Communication was excellent and very helpful with fishing guide and golf cart rental. Highly recommend!

Christmas Getaway

My family and I loved our stay at this property. The neighborhood was nice, walking distance to the beach and close to the sea wall. The house is also stocked with pretty much everything you can think of. Not to mention, the owner, Eric, was great from start to finish. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

This was our 2nd Easter celebration in this house. The house is nothing short of amazing! The house is well stocked with everything you might need . The manager was incredibly responsive and was on hand for any issues during our stay.We highly recommend booking this beach house for your next getaway!

Wonderful Werkend air Drift Away

Four long time friends enjoyed the beautiful Driftway home this weekend. The home is beautifully appointed with comforts of home. It was a wonderful weekend full of friendship and laughter on a gorgeous spring weekend The elevator made getting our groceries and luggage in a breeze.

Wonderful house

My friends and I stayed during a long weekend. The house is beautiful and very clean. We had all we needed for our stay, the kitchen is very well stocked with state of the art appliances and any utensils or tools you may need. We loved the drinks area with the two wine refrigerators, very nice to have. Definitely a keeper!

Had a wonderful time, great beach access, and the home is very comfortable and beautiful. It was a refreshing experience. Great property. Beautiful views, quiet neighborhood. Very relaxing The internet TV service in the primary bedroom would occasionally have issues. This was minor, overall it was an excellent experience. Would stay there again.

Easter Family Celebration

We had an awesome time, the home has everything you may need and more.The traveling items available were a nice and helpful touch (sun tan ,Advil ,Off etc).The wagons and beach toys were great.My sons loved that the grill was connected to the house gas ,no propane to worry about.The ice maker was fantastic.

Perfect family Christmas!

Loved this house!!! So beautiful and clean. Perfect spot for our family Christmas. Mattresses are always our biggest complaint when we travel and every bed in the house was so nice and comfortable. Easy to get to food/fun but neighborhood is really quiet and out of the way. Owners are really kind and provided a little welcome gift knowing we were celebrating a hard first Christmas without my in-laws. Would absolutely rent again!

Family Outing

We booked Driftaway this year for our annual October family outing to Galveston. What a great experience and great home. The home had everything we needed and wanted and more. The five bedroom layout with lots of space was perfect for our 6 adults and 6 grandchildren. Home was so well stocked and lots of beach toys for the kids. We can't wait to come back next October. Neighborhood safe. Location to things to great! Communication with host and property manager top notch! The home is absolutely amazing!!!! Our group was blown away!!! Family Fun

This property was fabulous. It was very well equipped. (except for paper products, only 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. And only one roll of paper towel). We could have used some spray cleaner to clean and wipe counters after meals. Overall it was great! Plenty of beach toys and chairs. If you have a big group, stay here.

Pre-Christmas break with the family

My husband and I, our daughter and her husband and three kids took a 3-day visit to Galveston pre-Christmas just to spend quality time together. The house is amazing and everyone loved staying at Drift Away. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood with the beach a 3 or 4 minute walk to the beach. It is a short drive to Moody Gardens, downtown Galveston and historic homes. We loved the decor of the house and sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine and listening to ocean. We all agreed (from 12 to 70) that we needed to visit again and stay at Drift Away. Thank you to Eric for being a gracious host. We loved our stay!!!

Best VRBO stay we've had ever!

Had a family get together with our two daughter's families including 5 grandkids aged 9 to 13. We were all "wowed" when we entered the house. Gorgeous house and so well stocked. So many wonderful things about the house including an elevator (great for bringing boxes, suitcases, etc. up and down to the cars...easier and safer, too), top notch Weber BBQ grill which lit very easily, lots of beach supplies (chairs, umbrellas, lots and lots of beach toys for kids, plenty of boogie boards and two carts to haul things to the beach), a kitchen that was stocked better than any of our houses back home, a refrigerator we all want at our houses, comfortable beds, top notch washer/dryer, more TVs than I could count, games, garage space to park 3 cars out of the sun, lots of room within the house and did I mention gorgeous? We had the best time and the house/amenities clearly made our memories sweeter.

Great place

The beach house was very nice. Great location too. Easy 5 min walk to the beach. Also easy to get back into the main stretch in Galveston from there.Views from the master balcony were great. Plenty of beach accessories as well. Would definitely book again when needing a space for a bigger group.
