Great Stay!

This property is in a great location! Close to the Beach Club entrance. Overlooks a water feature. Huge balcony. Nicely furnished. No frills or extras but it had everything our family needed. We would definitely stay again.

Fun stay

We love pointe west and this unit was at a great location with a view of the beach. Toilet seat in the bathroom came off, but otherwise things were clean. Also, ice maker in the fridge did not work

Great location, kitchen is not stocked with anything

Overall, great condo! Pros: Very clean with comfortable beds. The condo is very close to the beach club entrance and pool, which we loved. Cons: You have to bring EVERYTHING to be able to use the kitchen. There are no spices, (not even salt/pepper), coffee filters, paper goods, foil, Tupperware to keep leftovers, nothing. I didn’t think to bring any of the basic items, so we ended up ordering out.

Lovely apartment and grounds. The pool was nice and we were in the prime location which was close to the office, pool and restaurant. Would have given it a 5 except our tv only got utube and no regular channels even though this was communicated to property owner/manager. The beach was not crowded which was also nice.

This is our fourth year to stay at Pointe West and this was another great unit! Communication and check-in/out were seamless. The unit is tastefully decorated and all beds/furniture are very comfortable. The kitchen has basic cooking tools and while no big deal, no measuring cups. The patio seating and views made for great relaxation and you can’t beat the assigned parking spot and proximity to beach/pool. Definitely recommend!

Lovely home

We've come to this location over the past 5+ years and it is always very nice. While it didn't need it the owner has continued to make renovations over time that makes it an even nicer stay.

Point West on point. (Mostly)

Our third trip to PW, each time a different condo. This one was perfect for proximity to the beach access as well as the main pool/ restaurant at the club. Loved the furniture layout in the living room compared to a previous unit with the same floor plan. Didn’t love sitting in said furniture though. Beds were good, place was clean. Kitchen supplies were fairly on par with what I’ve come to expect from vacation rentals. Enough plates, glasses and forks and such. Looked to be plenty of pans but I didn’t use them since I bring one of my own. Starter set of cleaning supplies is a nice touch. Would have been nice to have a second trash bag.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pointe West and Seas the Day. The amenities were great, a very short walk to everything we needed! The view from the balcony was wonderful, unfortunately the deck chairs were broken, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the balcony. The beach is very clean and a short walk. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous

We go to Galveston frequently because our son goes to Texas AM Galveston. The condo was FABULOUS. The unit was very clean, furnishings were better than I've seen at most in area. The bed was comfortable ( more comfortable than the hotels) We have stayed at most hotels and several condos in the area. This was the best by far. Definitely would stay here again. If you want something quiet and a place to relax this is the place for you.

Family get away

We come to Pointe West every other summer and always have a blast! This condo is a great location to the beach club house and the beach. The only things I would say- arrive before the beach house closes because there is no after hours security that will give you temp wrist bands- we arrived around 7 and couldn't find anyone to help us- second this condo does not have a storage unit for beach stuff- we travel 5+ hours to get here so we try not to pack a ton of beach stuff but usually our condo has a unit we can get beach stuff from this one does not have that- also bring a hair dryer- if this condo had one I couldn't find it- lastly, not sure where the thermostat was in this condo but it was freezing!! So we had to keep the patio doors open a lot to not freeze during the day- at night it was fine to sleep. Otherwise, the condo was nice and had plenty of space for us and our kids.

Great stay- maybe needs a little extra cleaning .

We really enjoy this condo and it accommodated my family of 4 well. I liked the beach view from the balcony, the easy beach access and the resort amenities. I will say that there were areas in the condo that could have used a better clean (cleaning fan dust, mildew in shower etc) but this did not deter our enjoyment. The bed and linens were clean and comfy. There were kitchen basics stocked, and games that we enjoyed playing. Margarita and mocktail were yummy by the pool, and the pool/beach not crowded at all over Sun-Tues- which is always a plus. Overall we had a fantastic time!

Beautiful condo

This was the perfect condo for our family of 4. The only thing that was different from other condos we’ve stayed at in pointe west was this one was a bit bare. There wasn’t a hairdryer and no extra cooking items in the cabinets. Definitely not an issue, just a difference. The condo was super close to the beach and the beach club which was awesome! It was clean and spacious.

Enjoyed our stay…

Definitely enjoyed our stay… Little hiccup upon arrival - door code didn’t work, so we used the spare key all week. 2nd time staying at Pointe West - the grounds were neat, people were friendly, and the pool and lazy river did not disappoint. Love the short walk over the dunes to the beach, just wish the jellyfish hadn’t made such an early appearance this year. :( Only negatives: toilet seat in 2nd bathroom is hanging on by a thread, kitchen could stock up on some basics for travelers: salt and pepper (our first breakfast eggs got no love), coffee filters, Tupperware for leftovers, etc. Overall, really enjoyed our stay - condo was spacious and clean, comfy beds, huge patio space!

Would never go back

The property itself was nice, but the room was nasty and disgusting. The beds were old and really needed to be replaced. The kitchen sink leaked and was broke. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Not worth any of the money that was spent on it.

Property needs some work

This is my 5th time staying at Pointe West and unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with this property. First, it is not beach front. Second, it has an issue with mold in several areas of the house which made me uncomfortable for health reasons. Some appliances are really old and it is missing basic things every other property had: dish soap, beach towels, hair dryer. The fridge was dirty when we arrived. It is a pretty rental but it needs work to keep it up since people pay a premium at this property.

Exactly as expected.

I expected a clean and well maintained condo and that’s what we got. Ive stayed at Pointe West previously but was excited to have a condo close to the clubhouse. I had read prior reviews about it not being cleaned well and brought my own supplies just in case. I never used them. I’m a bit of a clean freak so that’s saying something. The condo is stocked with a laughable amount of toilet paper. Stacks on stacks. Renter beware, it’s 1ply. There were 3 dishwashing packs (not enough for 5 people staying 5 days) and laundry soap. The kitchen was my only complaint and it’s not a big one. There was one mixing bowl, dull knives, and almost nothing to cook in. I also suggest packing some hand soap. They do provide a small dishwashing soap and bar soap, but it wasn’t enough for hand washing and bathing. There are plenty of towels provided and bedding for the pull out couch. Overall, I’d certainly rent here again!
