Peaceful Bliss

Very nice home located far back in Jamaica Beach. Was very clean and open. Beds and pillows were comfy. Relaxing out on the large deck was great. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone with a large family looking for peace and quiet.

HouseKeepers did not show up before our arrival

We booked this house many months in advance and were looking forward to using this house as an overflow for our annual family vacation. This house is located just footsteps from our annual main rental. Sadly, when we arrived, the house was still a mess. We called Customer Service and was promptly placed in another house, but over a mile away. We made everything work and customer service was apologetic for the mistake. Customer Service receives 5 stars, just we cannot rate the house since we could not stay there.

After numerous issues mainly the missing grill at first that was never resolved and the upstairs bedroom being so hot and uncomfortable we finally got a $120 refund for the inconvenience! The property management (Vacasa) was not helpful resolving any issues! The entire texting back and forth for days including a week after we checked out they finally refunded $120. There was no grill and we had to change our entire meal plan. We brought food to grill and that wasn’t possible. I would not rent this property again in the future. The listing was not updated and did not provide the correct information!

Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations due to several issues with the condition of the home.Upon arrival, we noticed that the home was not thoroughly cleaned, including visible hair on the toilet and dog hair on the couch. Additionally, several lights downstairs were not functioning, and we observed holes in the wall. The garage door leading to the back lake did not close properly, and there was trash left on the back deck. The window screen was also cut.The home had an unpleasant odor, suggestive of possible prior water damage, and the towel rack in the bathroom was broken. The shower showed visible damage, and some of the cooking utensils had rust on them.I reached out to the host regarding these concerns during our stay, but unfortunately, the issues remained unresolved.

Nice well used Home

This home although was plain to see it's well used and an older home was adequate for what we were there for, fishing and beach time. It was a bit over priced and some items, place matts on the table had food stains on them. The upstairs shower was bit hard to figure out how to turn on the water. The floors were a bit stick in places and some of the switches to the ceiling fans did not work. The downstairs screened patio lights and ceiling fan was not working at all and the screen do would only stay closed if you put a brick against it to keep it closed. The only outside facet was at the front of the house with no hose so you had to take all your sandy beach stuff to wash off to that facet that was almost hidden by the overgrown bushes. The boat lift looks like it has seen it's better days as it's well rusted out and would never be able to lift anything of any weight at all. The top deck needs a lot of work and so does the bottom of the deck which looks like it could give out and fall at any moment, it has a lot of rotten wood. The pictures of the home must have been taken when this house was new because it really needs a make over badly. We had fun though.
