Beachfront Palms Resort an Ascend Collection Hotel

4/10 Poor

"The place was filthy and, at first, we were given a room that someone was still occupying. My wife swiped the key card and walked right into some else’s room. That could have went very bad had whoever was staying there been present. We were given another room, but it we still very unsettling for my wife to walk into and occupied room."

"bugs in one of the rooms, card lock didn’t work properly and staff decided to offer to move us at 11:00pm. we said no when they said they would give discount in morning. no went down in morning and manager was rude and she said they didn’t leave any info about what happened and since we declined to move, they took that as we accepted room as is. Terrible management and total disregard for customer satisfaction. buried my mother that morning and will NEVER stay at that place again."

"Pre-arrival it was impossible to get anyone to answer a call for questions. I was put on hold 3 times and never got answered. The in-room phones were inoperative for our entire 3 night stay. Couldn't call front desk, valet, for a cart to help with luggage, Nothing! Completely dead. If you're hungry don't think you will have even half decent service in the restaurant (and I use that term loosely). Rooms were clean and maid service accomodating. Front desk was very nice and pool was fun. Swim up bar service was very good and friendly.To sum it up, the outdoor pool experience was satisfactory+ The indoor experience was far below satisfactory."
