This is a great hotel that has what one needs for the price point without the fluff. Rooms where clean and well taken care of with a comfortable bed which after all is what one wants. The indoor pool an hot tub was a pleasant addition!"

"This is definitely a 2 or 3 Star Motel. All buildings are older and show sign of neglect (ie Broken Baseboards, Paint peeling on exteriors, old Window Shaker AC's etc). Everything in the room was clean and worked as it should. Linens were fine and Bed was comfortable, except that I hate those Little Pillows on a King Bed instead of having proper King size Pillows The Staff were friendly and helpful. The Parking Lot was very tight for my fullsize Pick-up. The Breakfast was a Cold Buffet (Cereal, Yogurt, fruit, juice) but did have Pre-Cooked Packaged Egg Muffin choices and Pancakes for Microwave heating. Overall, not a highly desirable Motel, BUT ... The location is convenient and for our 1-Night stay, it was a good value and we got exactly what we expected "

"We had a wonderful 4 nights at the Westin Bayshore. The location was convenient and so easy to stroll to various places like Stanley Park, Gastown, Robson Road shopping, etc. Staff were friendly and nice and the beds were comfy."

"I booked this hotel to save money, but it ended up costing me more than a slightly more expensive hotel in town, which was only about ten years newer, modern, and offered excellent service, spacious rooms, quality finishes, and a pool. My Bose headphones went missing during my stay. Staff were apologetic but delayed taking any action until it was too late and the camera footage was lost. The Director of Operations insisted my stay had been “enjoyable,” yet offered no compensation, adding to the frustration. I would never stay here again. It was quite run down and a case of being penny wise and headphone foolish."

"This was my fiancé and I’s second stay at English bay hotel and I can’t say enough great things about it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, we arrived a few minutes before check In and our room was ready so they let us check in. We stayed in room 327, which is a studio with two beds, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Room was very neat and clean with a comfy bed too. People say it’s old and can use a face lift but I was perfectly happy with the old style of the hotel, it added to its charm. They use actual keys to enter your room, not the cards that don’t always work. It’s was chilly everyday we ventured out so the hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate available to hotel guests was really nice. We had a great view of the bay and sunsets from our room, I love that you can open a window to let some fresh air in too. This hotel is in a great location, tons of places to eat with great food. Nathan’s pizza, legendary noodle and chicken world were my go to places to eat after exploring Vancouver all day. We did not try the restaurants the hotel sits on top of but it always smelled really good especially with always having my window open. If you are planning a week long vacation to Vancouver like me, I highly recommend staying in the English Bay Area at English bay hotel, there’s everything you need within walking distance. Thank you for having us again English bay hotel, we will definitely be back. "
