“Before our stay, I had concerns about a negative review that I saw on Google Maps so I reached out to the host. The owners (husband and wife) called me personally to discuss and explain this negative review. They addressed all concerns and texted additional photos and videos. “Even though finding the place was a little tricky arriving late at night, Melba was always available and would respond immediately. There was no power for most of our stay due to the island poor electric infrastructure, but she was very quick trying to make our stay more enjoyable and even hooking up to a generator. The area is close to the beach and great restaurants. The swimming pool was big, clean and inviting. Our kids had a lot of fun there. We enjoyed our stay.”

The ACs kept the house and rooms nice and cool It’s a newly built home, but the layout is different from what many mainland U.S. travelers expect. There is no interior stairwell, you must go outside and down a flight of stairs to access the other three bedrooms. “We had such a lovely stay at this home. I appreciate that it allowed me to be close to visit family in Utuado but also was a peaceful stay up in the mountains. We spent three nights and enjoyed it all. The hosts were great and we enjoyed one meal from Carmen that was delicious!”
