Bear! Very comfortable!

This was a graduation celebration trip for my son. We had a great time! Be very careful though cooking outisde on the grill and eating. We did have a bear walk out of the woods on us and we had to run inside. The bear got to enjoy our hotdogs. The cabin was great!

The cabin was pretty great overall! It was clean and well put together when we arrived and everything worked well. The only issue we had was the ac didn’t seem to be working well for us, and luckily it wasn’t hot this last week. There is also a window ac unit in the loft that was a lifesaver at night. Would recommend to any small family or group of friends!

The property was infested with large ants upon our arrival so I contacted the owner. He claims the exterminator was there 3/20 and we checked in on 3/24. He has the exterminator come back out, however, by the next day the home was again covered in large ants- in the tub, shower, living room floor, kitchen floor, crawling up the wall, the nightstand, and even in my son’s bed upstairs. While my daughter was showering, at least five ants were combing into the shower. While brushing our teeth, ants were crawling on the mirror. We did our best to manage and killed and cleaned up many ants. However, the third night we came back from being out all day and evening to find many more ants everywhere to the point you had to watch your step. I messaged the owner to let him know the situation and sent a few photos. I was told that since we were in the woods this was “normal” and we had used all nights so would not be given any refund for the issue. To me this is not normal and I have stayed in cabins before without an ant infestation. My kids and I couldn’t wait to get home and shower and wash everything with the hope we had not brought ants home. We would have left the property sooner and gotten a hotel but there was no offer of reimbursement and I couldn’t afford two places. We hardly slept at all the last night due to worrying if ants would be in our bed. I would definitely NOT stay here or any of the backwoods rental properties again!

The property was neglected. Ceiling fan loud and wobbly, fireplace screen was so dirty you could barely see flame. All 3 remotes had dead batteries (we replaced) , only 1 towel for hot tub (sleeps 4). No dish washing liquid (we bought some) and spray attachment on sink did not work, the toilet paper holder was barely hanging on one side. Pretty outdated. The outdoor scenery was nice and hot tub worked well.

This place has been an amazing honeymoon stay. The owner is amazing, and always there for any questions or needs! The cabin is beautiful, and has a hot tub to enjoy the night stars. A lot of attractions right near by and a lot of shopping. Great food places to try out, and such a quiet neighborhood! We will definitely be coming back soon! 10/10 amazing!!
