Staffs and facilities need upgrading
From the start had a bad experience. Ordered 4 rooms online with hotels.com, frontdesk argued with us it was only one room. Had to made an international call to hotels.com to clear things up. Seems the front desk didn't understand the booking we printout/brought with us when it was clear we ordered 4 rooms. Room conditions was pretty bad, bathroom was clogged, etc. The one good thing is that it is located strategically in one of Penang's main tourist site.

Booked into 2 rooms on 10th floor which both were warm due to hot spell. But reception not proactive to offer lower rooms until I requested. Because of my complaints and changed rooms 3 times I believe a certain staff took personal action to reconfigure my key every day. Thus, I had reset my key. Hope management will look into my case.

Old hotel conveniently located
It is a dated hotel that has seen better days. Having said that, the service staff is attentive and helpful. Location is good. Carpark is opened in the back. The rooms are old but OK. Beds too soft like the pillows. We heard noise from the karaoke next-door til after 11pm. Then there is the noise from I think the external aircon condenser that's making a lot of humming noise every few minutes for about 15 secs each time. There's no noise from the road. Also didn't hear the prayers from the nearby mosque.

Very noisy even can hear loud music in midnight. Somemore the big noise from some temple even at 5am. Check in service super slow but staff attitude good.

Recently renovated hotel near old town, Little India, and China Town. While overall comfortable, my room did not have any windows and was located next to air conditioners, thus very noisy.

Every staff just looked at each other and their manager expecting the manager to attend to all guests while they are chatting. By every staff it means 5 or 6 of them in the front desk just not helping with the check in. The entire check in process took 1 hour. Room is reasonably clean and location is good though. The manager tried to be as helpful and polite as possible though. I think the hotel is overstaffwd for no obvious economic reason. Perhaps the cost reduction can be shared with guests if the hotel will.

Nice affordable hotel.
Overall.. nice hotel at affordable price. We got a room with balcony. Unfortunately the shower was broken and the maintenance guys repaired it promptly. The hotel itself is centrally located.

Bonne accueil. Super localisation. Litterie très propre. On a pu faire le check out à 13h sans frais. Ils ont ensuite gardé nos valises jusqu’à notre départ vers l’aéroport. Bon déjeuner en buffet.
