Huisnes-sur-Mer German Ossuary at Huisnes-sur-Mer Hotels

"Only two issues at this hotel: The carpet was dirty to the point it felt dirty, and the picture for the room online showed a view from the windows of the bay. The room was in the back of the hotel and the window faced the wall of the walkway directly below, not facing the village or the bay. Was told by reception that I reserved a “village view” room, which I didn’t. Nowhere on the reservation did it ask me if I wanted a bay view or village view. Reception said there were no bay view rooms. For our 40th wedding anniversary this was our experience. At least we were able to see the Abbey. So, be careful when reserving and make sure you confirm your room’s location specifically. "

"Perfect location at the island entrance. Close to the ramparts entrances including a 2nd floor exit at the back of the hotel directly onto the ramparts. Staff were very helpful and accommodating especially in handling our luggage before checkin and holding it after checkout until we departed. A quiet hotel and nice ambiance!"

"Parking good for walking to Mt St Michael. Took us 50mins from hotel across well marked sheep trail. Clean room. Staff friendly and breakfast fresh and adequate for our needs. "

"Super good location 30 mins walk from Mont Saint Michel. Room was large and very clean, and front desk staff was very helpful. A couple of observations: 1) we couldn’t adjust the heat, so asked the front desk about it and they said they (the front desk) would adjust it and asked what temperature we wanted. They made the heat work for us and that temp stayed the same for the duration of our 2-day stay. 2) A kettle and 2 tea bags along with two paper cups were in the room. My husband and I drank tea the first morning and upon return to our room in the evening, one cup had been replenished and one used empty cup was still there (one original cup was left with the old tea bag in it). Same thing happened with the paper cups in the bathroom-one was used and there was no replenishment (one was still unused). This could be a « green » effort but since the cups were paper there was degradation inside from the previous use."

"Fantastic location. Recommend that you rent a bike the walking/bike path is immediately near the house. The house had everything that we needed. Internet was difficult as the WiFi was slow and cell reception was poor but if you walked toward the path cellular reception is better and can get a email out."
