「Heron Island is amazing destination but the property is starting to look tired. It is very expensive to eat, 1 restaurant (breakfast, lunch&dinner)& 1 bar, opens at 10am with limited food if fridge works!!. Same breakfast everyday is $35pp. Cafe style coffee for 2 $15, didn't have lunch. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks and 1 dessert around $100. 「I've stayed here a few times and usually everything is spot on. But this time it was let down by a room that could have been a bit cleaner. Used soap and shampoo in the shower, hair all over the chair and a toilet that needed a wipe down. There's lots of pluses with this place and its a shame its let down by something as easy to provide as a good clean. I usually check a room before settling in just in case but having stayed previously and it being spotless I didn't expect this. Other than that...

「One of the rooms they put us in had a damaged front door which we found out it was damaged the night before , the manger try to screw the door back together but it was busted so they not only moved us but also next door as they had there door kick. The other room was ok but had a smell and didn’t have a smoke detector just the mounting plate.」
