Villa Montebella

Everything was great. The grounds and views are spectacular. The house is very comfortable and could benefit from some more comfortable outside seating on the balconies facing the valley. This was perfect for our large and diverse group.

Wine country gem

Everything about the house was amazing. The host was awesome, wine cave, media room private suites and grounds were next level. Not enough superlatives can describe our experience at the villa! If you require transportation in the area we highly recommend Matt at greybeard tours

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful time at this Villa. The property is incredible (do a catered dinner in the wine cave!) and there was plenty of room for all of our guests. Loved working with Randy and team - highly recommend them!

Beautiful estate with wine cave

We celebrated a 50th Birthday and 20 year anniversary with 12 people and this was the perfect place. Randy and Seth were very accommodating and always available for any requests. We had dinner one night with chef Lisa in the wine cave and the food was absolutely amazing with a wonderful touch! Highly recommend!!

Family vacation

Had an amazing visit with to Villa Montebella to celebrate daughter’s college graduation. We had multiple generations with us ranging in age from 19 to 89. Worked with with both Randy and his wife Sheryl. They checked in multiple times during our visit to be sure all was ok. Would highly recommend Villa Montebella!

Fabulous

This property is Amazing - we had private wine tasting in the wine cave, a chef dinner in the Villa and a Super Bowl party in the media room. The property managers are very responsive, the property is clean and well stocked. Just an fabulous property with too much to list.

Excellent!!

This property was amazing from top to bottom and had everything you could ask for. Gym, tennis court, bocci ball court, sauna, steam, movie room oh and let’s not forget your own wine cave! We had a chef come one night and we did dinner in the cave and it was amazing! I would recommend this property to anybody, it reminded me of sitting in Tuscany with the view we had!

Amazing house & experience

We had a girls weekend at the Villa and it was absolutely amazing. Randy and his staff were super attentive to us and helped us the entire weekend. The house is absolutely amazing and very well stocked. We have zero complaints and would love to stay here again. Highly recommend utilizing all of the amenities that the house has to offer including the pickle ball court, gym, steam room, hot tub and wine cave! Thanks Randy for an amazing experience

Incredible!

Words do not do Villa Mountebella justice. Perched high atop the vineyards on 25 acres, the house is exquisite. The property is very distenational, meaning there are multiple places to sit and relax and solitude and plenty of places to gather as a group. The bedrooms are spacious. The grounds are immaculate. We will definitely be back. Randy is an excellent communicator!

Great property, very private

Plenty of room for 5 adult couples to each have their own space. Kitchen is well stocked and managers were very responsive to our needs. There are lots of stairs, not a problem for us but would be for mobility impaired. When we arrived the pool and hot tub were not very clean—pool was cleaned the following morning but lots of algae in the hot tub made it uninviting. Overall a great stay for my husband’s 50th—enjoyed a catered dinner in the cave and watching the Olympic ceremonies in the theater!

Beautiful Property with Wine Cave

Villa Montebella is a wonderful place for a large group. Our families stayed at the Villa over the Thanksgiving Holiday week to celebrate our Daughter’s Napa Wedding. The pictures are accurate, but do not do the property justice. The place is Stunning! There are many comfortable and secluded bedrooms and facilities. The wine cave was amazing and we hired Chef Adair for a special rehearsal dinner there. We have an active group and took advantage of the many amenities. The media room was perfect for Thanksgiving Day Football. The management team was great to work with and answered all our questions promptly. We highly recommend the Villa and will definitely be back!

Beautiful property and Home

Our family stayed there to celebrate my 70th birthday. There were 10 of us. When you first see Villa Montebella, you feel like you just arrived at a movie set. Everything about it is beautiful. The main house and villas were adequately stocked, clean, and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were perfect. Our adult children loved the many outside activities on the property. I felt like a spoiled queen all week. The wine cave was fun to hire a private chef (Chef Adair) and we had my birthday dinner there. Randy was a delight to work with and answered all our questions beforehand. Would highly recommend.

Villa

We had a wonderful stay. The property is gorgeous and the house was great for a group with places for everyone to be together or separate when needed. We only have a few recommendations. First, the driveway is quite steep and curvy. A caution on that especially if you drive a larger vehicle as we did. We never could get the hot tub to heat up, even after contacting the host. Instructions for that were not in the guest book. Even though the host walked us through it, having it written down would have helped. Otherwise you couldn’t have a finer place. Be prepared for steps but that became art of our fitness plan!

Perfect Wine Country Home

The Villa and location are absolutely stunning! The pictures are accurate, but do not do the property justice. It is a breath-taking view! Everything from the booking process to checking in was very easy. Randy was very polite, responsive, and accommodating with all of my questions and request. It was raining when we arrived, and Randy grabbed umbrellas for our whole group to do the property tour. No details were overlooked at this property. Chef Tiffany F. came to the house and prepared dinner for us to enjoy in the wine cave. The dinner and ambiance were both spectacular! She catered to our dietary restrictions, and it was the best meal of the whole trip. We used Beau Wine Tours for transportation & Jose was top notch! He arrived early for every reservation, always had a bright smile and was very helpful during our visit. We hope to visit the area again and I can't imagine a better option for a place to stay. Villa Montebella was the best!

Great Family Vacation

We came to celebrate my parents' 55th wedding anniversary and our group of 12 ranged in age from 6 to 76. We all had a wonderful time and made full use of the home - tennis courts, gym, pool, cave/cellar, movie theater, and more. Randy and Sheryl were very responsive with any issues, and we had a great time. We also enjoyed going to some of the restaurants in town and visiting the Jack London State Park. We would love to return again next year! I would note two things for people thinking about staying: there are lots of steps to get everywhere around the property so if you have any mobility issues, this may not be the best fit. Also, on very hot days, the A/C in the 3 bedrooms in the main house is not very effective and the rooms remain quite warm. Luckily, the heat wave only lasted 2 days during our stay and after that the evenings were cool enough to leave windows open and sleep comfortably. There are also fans available for those rooms.

Beautiful Villa in wine country

The Villa is beautiful! The pictures are accurate and the view is amazing! The location is great for taking excursions to the wineries. We stayed for a week with our four grown children and their spouses to celebrate our 50th anniversary. There was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. There are so many amenities that we couldn’t even use them all. We didn’t use the theater room, tennis court and pool (it wasn’t heated this time of year). We had our anniversary dinner in the wine cave which was prepared by Chef Adair (highly recommend). We spent every morning in the huge kitchen and prepared several meals. The Glen Ellen Market is a great place to shop for everything you need. We had a Vintage Murder Mystery Dinner with each couple making a course for dinner. The only issue with the property is all of the stairs and uneven surfaces if anyone has mobility problems. My husband had some difficulty but he was a trooper and enjoyed his time here. He especially liked sitting in the swing on the terrace overlooking the property. I highly recommend the Villa!

Wonderful 65th birthday celebration at the villa!

The villa was a great way to celebrate my wife’s 65th birthday with our closest friends. When everyone walked into the main house they all asked where the camera crew was coz this was like being at the Bachelor mansion! There was so much to do there that we didn’t have enough time to take advantage of all the amenities like the gym and media room. We had a game night in the wine cave as well as a catered dinner in there and it was amazing! If we had any questions or troubles the staff was quick to respond to all our needs. The house was so spacious and the rooms were as well. Everything was definitely placed for very tall people so if you are on the shorter side like I am then it was a little challenging in some of the bathrooms as the mirrors were hung so high that all I could see of myself when I looked in the mirror was my forehead and the top of my head! And to reach the hooks to hang my towel I had to jump to reach it! It was pretty comical actually. I mentioned this to the staff and they said they thanked me for letting them know and planned to lower them. Thank you to Randy and the staff for keeping me well informed and replying so quickly. It was a wonderful celebration in such a beautiful location!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the villa, from the wine cave to the sauna and the gorgeous views from the pool. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare and serve meals and the bathrooms were well stocked with towels.

Amazing property in California’s wine country
