Modern Cabin Studio, Peaceful Nature Retreat
Summary:
Welcome to the Compass Rose Cabin at LostFork Basecamp in Grant, CO, perfectly set at Guanella Pass and Hwy 285. This cozy studio retreat sleeps 2 with a luxe comfort murphy bed and features a private fenced hot tub, modern kitchenette, and full bath. Enjoy premier community amenities: two creekside saunas, the only sandy riverside beach on 285, a river cold plunge, camp store, and yard games. Just an hour from Denver, it’s the ultimate blend of comfort and Rocky Mountain adventure.
The Space:
Compass Rose Cabin is a modern-rustic retreat nestled among the trees at the foot of Guanella Pass (officially designated National Forest and Colorado Scenic Byway). One of nine modern cabins at Lostfork Basecamp, this studio cabin stay blends modern comforts and simplicity. Compass Rose is just steps away from our outdoor community center.
The cabin sleeps two, with a convertible murphy bed to maximize space, and is filled with soft natural light, clean lines, and styles that mirror the forest outside. A kitchenette including a mini fridge, hot plate, and convection microwave makes it easy to prepare light meals. The open layout and vaulted ceilings invite you to look up and out at the trees and mountains surrounding the site.
Inside, you’ll have an intimate spot for meals, card games while finishing off the night after a day on the trail. You can look out the large windows at the trees or up at the stars, and dream up your next adventure. Or refresh with a well-deserved reset in the sleek full bathroom with an ultra-modern feel.
Spend the morning outside on your own covered patio, where morning coffee or creekside daydreaming feels like your own little retreat. Or you can unwind in your private hot tub, nestled just outside your cabin. Steps away, guests also have access to LostFork’s on-site outdoor community center, which includes a creekside sauna and cold plunge.
Whether you’re seeking solitude, fresh air, or just a change of pace, this is the kind of place that invites you to slow down and stay a little longer.
*WiFi/Internet - Please note that while there is internet for the campground, it is satellite-based, and the main hub/router is located in the community center. Therefore, due to signal strength variations at different times, the WiFi/Internet signal in the unit is not guaranteed, and you may need to go to the community center for a signal.
