The hotel is very clean and the staff polite and helpful. Generously sized rooms with good sized bathrooms. Depending on your way of looking at the hotel it is either outdated ot retro. Breakfast and the food from the restaurant was good quality.

Room nice overlooking the lake area………..hotel now looking a bit old and tired……nice to sit outside around the decking overlooking the lake with a nice meal…….the problem with that was two local rats looking for scraps…..but what can you do it’s a countryside hotel ……still a nice place to stay and only 20 mins from brands hatch

Breakfast were cold, the main meals were terrible. Ordered steak and paid £26. It turned to be frying steak, the fish was terrible and tasteless. Tartar sauce was made with chickpea lemon juice.

I stayed at Inn on the Lake and had a really good experience. The hotel is in a beautiful location next to the lake, which makes it very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I really enjoyed the calm atmosphere and would definitely recommend it to other travellers looking for a quiet place to stay.

Excellent dog friendly hotel. The hotel is next to a busy road so highly recommend booking a lakeside room which are much quieter, large and have a good view. Whilst the hotel is quite tired, for the price we paid and service we received, it represents good value. Meals in the bar well priced too.

The whole property needs taken care of and updated. The room was very basic with a standard double bed in a large room. The linen was old and worn. The TV was very small and hang off the wall like a misplaced picture. The pine furniture was old and had a sticky film on top. The bath th was too high to step into and wasn’t the the correct shape to stand in while showering. As stated everywhere needed help and upgrading.

For a 3 Star hotel the stay was not to bad the staff were good and polite The cooked breakfast was good The only draw back was after the last night stay my partner removed the bedding as she all ways has done when we live our hotel my partner noticed that the mattress cover was badly/heavy stained with body fluids coffee or tea ect ect we reported it to the reception asked for the manager but she was unavailable ,filled in a how did we do card and made a reference to the problem about the mattress cover and a very loose toilet seat and took photos of them both for our reference, until we can talk to the manager, we did ask the receptionist to come to our room and see what we found but she said that she could not leave the reception this is dated 14/6/2026 at around 10 am.we will be contacting the hotel to speak to the manager on the 15/6/2026. We will send any photos we took when asked for.

I'll start off with the positives. - Stunning view of the lake - Welcoming staff. - Clean Negatives - Dated rooms. The bathroom sink was cracked and held together with some form of yellow/brown epoxy. Kind of puts you off initially. - Shower had poor pressure and the shower head bracket did not support it properly. - The lighting in the bathroom is on the dim side. - Breakfast took a while to get served, we even had to ask for an ETA. Once it was served it was underwhelming. - Pillows are not comfortable. Overall it served its' purpose for our stay

We had a lovely stay at the inn on the lake hotel, the room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good. The view in our room and the lake area is beautiful. Very good for the price.
