Great Basin Hotel with Pool

"Hotel was clean and rooms were nice. Don’t stay in North Wing-our room was over housekeeping I’m guessing as we could hear carts being rolled around and people talking at 6am every morning. Loud argument outside our room at 6:30 another morning between a guest and hotel security. There was no sleeping in in the North Wing!"

"The staff was helpful and allowed us to check in early. This was a very pleasant surprise. The room came equipped with a full-sized refrigerator and a microwave. You also can cast from your device to the TV... if it detects you are in the right room. Furthermore, they also allowed us to keep our bags with the bellhop after we checked out. We used this time to explore the gift shop and to eat at Hannah's Diner. The service offered by Gregg was top notch. The loaded baked potato was tasty and a great deal for the price. Plus, the chicken biscuit was as good as any found in southern Alabama."

"Breakfast was substantial. The staff was professional, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel is situated in nice location. Very close to downtown- Temple square, Capitol, etc. There is a Budget car rental right across."

"very nice property, Eldorado is connected to circus circus and silver legacy so you don't need to even go outside. there are plenty of food options and very fairly priced. the parking is free both in the lot and the connected parking garage. The rooms are old, and somewhat outdated. the first room we were given the ac didn't work, the second room we were given the thermostat was broken. the staff was very nice and they gave us the second room very quickly, and repaired the thermostat in that room very fast, but the non working items is why i only give this property 4 stars. i will note that this place is pretty centrally located and made for short trips where ever we wanted to go and is in walking distance to the riverwalk and several resturants,"

"We found a lot of hair and makeup on our sheets and pillow cases before going to bed, but the customer service line helped right away with fresh lignins. People were fighting in the halls on the 19th floor. I called customer service and they responded right away to defuse the incident."

"First of all, it took an hour from the airport to get a shuttle. Second of all, it took another 45 minutes to check in by the time we got there, only one one person work in the counter at a big resort. The air conditioning in our room did not work. It was set at 65 but the temperature remains 72. The internet also was slow or never worked. The pool is a joke. Could not use it because it was crowded and being so small we couldn't get a place to lay out. It was probably one of my worst stays at a hotel. And the staff wasn't helpful when I called to tell him about the issues we had with the air conditioning and internet"

"In my opinion, the carpet in room 1283 was not clean!! The sheets appeared dirty and overall the room didn't appear pleasant. It had a dull appearance."
