"Fantastic stay with Barry, Barry was very helpful, friendly, accommodating and showed us everything we needed. The annexe was exceptionally clean, bed was very comfortable, also a great range of breakfast options which we were not expected so a lovely bonus to the stay. The property is not far from the train station and is in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. "Our second stay at the hotel, this time in the standard pitch view room- previous stay was in the penthouse room. View in the standard room was great, room modernised and clean. Downside was how bright the room was at night. Lights cultivating the pitch illuminated the room, the curtains did not cover the glow which made for a awful nights sleep. Our penthouse stay was much better, comfier bed/bedding, darker room with light creeping through the curtains. Breakfast on this occasion was also disappointing. We came down at 830am, no croissants or bagels, two different small fruit pastries that were undercooked and soggy. On the hot counter food had obviously sat on display for a while, hardly any mushrooms, hash browns were soggy, sausages were ok but the again eggs scrambled and fried had sat there for a while. The black pudding didn't look cooked, just dry and hard. The breakfast we had on our first visit was cooked to order, and was great. Sadly this visit disappointed food and comfort wise."

"I booked a two night stay to complete some work - I needed good WiFi and quiet. I got it. The room could've been cleaned better, particularly the bathroom where there were hairs. The bathroom needed maintenance: water leaked under the shower screen in the walk-in shower, the handles on the bath were wobbly and enamel was missing, there was no cold water (it was like warm, which meant having a drink of cold water wasn't possible in the room)."

"We had 3 nights here and really enjoyed ourselves We made the most of the lovely pool. Had 4 swims in the 4days… the leisure staff were always so helpful and friendly. Very impressed with that and their happy attitudes. We enjoyed the 5*breakfast and ate in the restaurant twice in the evenings. The food was excellent and lots of choice. The staff were super helpful and efficient. Our room was serviced by excellent staff and one particular member really stood out to make our stay comfortable (Simran) … she was consistently super happy and helpful each day. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed all the places of much interest close by. Don’t miss Skipton Castle, Grassington, Haworth amongst just a few places. We didn’t get to experience the new restaurant but hope to visit again in the future. "

"Looked okay, but everything felt tired and not hugely clean. The bathroom was very good - but the rooms and corridors look like they needed some paint. Walls are super thin - could hear everything in next room. Corridor fire doors need some better closers - they slam all night. "
