“The house is situated in a quiet, peaceful location with an incredible view. We watched lobster boats come and go and seals fishing in the bay. A fantastic place to spend a few days! The house is small and no-frills, but clean, comfortable and well-maintained. We appreciated how it was far enough from Bar Harbor to avoid the August crowds, but close enough to go there for the day. Check in/out was straightforward, and communication was excellent.”

“The warning is right there in the description... you'll never want to leave! This was the first time we felt like we could have spent our whole vacation at the rental and been completely content. Spectacular views, beautifully designed and very well-appointed home, clean... just a flawless, relaxing stay. Thank you!”

“It’s name says it all. A perfectly sized, literal “bed room” in the middle of the woods. The fire pit had wood all ready for me to use. If you were to come in the winter, the tiny home has a wood stove to use as well.”

“Amazing property! Photos don't capture the beauty of this place. Inside of cabin is unbelievable. Modern fixtures, incredible ceiling fans, light dimmer on all overhead lights, sky lights, large windows and a beautiful bathroom. I could go on. Fully stocked with everything you need, just bring food. To say my dogs enjoyed their stay would be an understatement. Back deck is gated and a great place for the dogs to chill and dry off without worrying about them. The host, Anne, was super nice and……

“The location is gorgeous with plenty of nearby walks, hikes, and interesting places to keep us busy. We saw deer, eagles and turkeys on the property. The cottage was clean and comfortable. It was quiet—at times we could hear the ocean from Pigeon Hill Bay just down the embankment across the road. Perfect in every way!”

“Beautiful and unique property. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and appliances. It’s about an hour from Acadia national park and 1.5 hours from Canada. Our family had a great time. The host did a great job.”

“My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh……

“Easy check in and open full litchen”

“We loved this house and the location! We've stayed in a nearby house for many vacations through the years but needed something bigger, and this house was perfect for us. It's quirky and filled with art, and beautiful ocean views.The upstairs layout is a little funky (one bedroom is only accessible via adjoining rooms, and one large bedroom has the back staircase in it) but it was totally fine for us. Our kids loved the visiting chickens and walking to the beach each morning.”
