This is our second or third stay at Sandy Cottage and doubtless there will be more. Very comfortable and well equipped, owners very patient and helpful for people like me who find the vrbo app very complicated, fish and chip shop around the corner at other end of street, front garden parking so nice snd close to front door, short walk to beach - what’s not to like? don’t be scared of the steep stairs just use both hands to come down and one firm hand to ascend!

Second time staying at this property and just like before it was fantastic. The property was lovely and clean and brilliantly equipped with everything you need making it a real home from home. Self catering is really easy as the kitchen is fully equipped including ample fridge and freezer space. With the added convenience of having a dishwasher and washing machine. For those travelling with younger children there is a travel coat, high chair and steriliser too.The beds were all comfy and plenty of towels supplied too.We were a family of 4 adults, 1 teen, 1 child and a dog and there was more than enough space for us all. The court yard seating was great for enjoying the afternoon sun, and the beach was just a short walk away. We even saw a family of seals in the sea just a short distance from the shore.Caister itself has everything you need locally including a lovely bakery, supermarkets, take aways and pubs. And just a short drive into Yarmouth for more family activities. Gary was super helpful providing all the check in details in advance and provided contact details if we needed anything during our stay, however all the cottage details were also provided at the property too making everything simple and straightforward.We will certainly be returning!

Narrow, steep stairs!

Fantastic place and location, very well equipped, very clean, lovely showers, comfy beds. The only negative were the stairs, not really suitable for the very elderly or disabled! Overall we had a brilliant holiday

Family holiday very close to the beach.

Clean, well equipped cottage with enclosed courtyard ideal for our grandchildren and dog. Very close to sandy dog friendly beach and near the Caister life boat. Excellent cafe and shop in the visitor centre. Would certainly return again a good base for exploring the area by bus or car.

Family holiday

Although we managed with 5 adults 1 child and an infant I would suggest only 4 adults. House was well equipped and perfect location for the beach. Owners were outstanding as they returned items we had left, including an iPhone charger.

Lovely house, great location

Lovely house, very clean and tidy, and has an upstairs bathroom which is a massive bonus in this area! Kitchen has all things you will need, plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses etc. Plenty of towels, although the bath towels could be a little larger! TV's in every room which is a nice touch. Nice little courtyard garden with table & chairs. Nice takeaways nearby, Brilliant fish & chips was good. Thoroughly enjoyed our week and will definitely look to book this house again.

Fantastic property

Fab property located a few minutes from a beautiful beach and in walking distance of shops and pubs. The property had everything we needed and more. There is a upstairs and downstairs bathroom and the showers in them were great! Would recommend x

Good Location

Great location to beach shops and pubs. Comfortable house everything you need, but the Staircase is very steep and narrow so not suitable for everyone. The court yard garden had a lovely sunny aspect, but needed sweeping daily , also the Barbecue was very rusty , as pointed out by previous reviews so we didn’t use it. On the whole we enjoyed our stay

Even better second time !!

Our second visit and our long weekend was even better than last year. Lots of lovely little touches around the cottage. Location is perfect being just a couple of hundred yards from an amazing beach. Dog friendly pubs and cafe virtually on your doorstep Cottage is spotlessly clean on arrival and really comfortable. We will definitely book again for next year.
