COTTAGE Caribbean style

This is our lovely cottage in Caribbean style! It is located in a cool and relaxing place on a sweet hill overlooking Rodney Bay Marina. The view is amazing. You will enjoy the large tropical garden with fruit trees. The cottage is composed by 2 double bedrooms and a single sofa bed, 2 bathrooms: one with tub and shower and one with shower , equipped kitchen and large veranda. Sheets and towels provided. Price includes: wifi, housekeeping 2 times a week ,free parking. We have jeeps for rent and we can organize your airport transfer. This location is strongly recommended for those who love quiet and outdoor life, relax on the hammock, prepare a barbecue and have a drink in front of the beautiful sunset.
We also have a sailboat at the Marina, we organize day trips to the Pitons , week end tour to Martinique or even cruise to the Grenadines. Ask for information before your arrival!!

Terrible service and did not stay!!

This was a terrible experience. We arrived here (it is very far from town!) and our very polite taxi driver was trying to tell us that it might not be what we think it is...he was right. First we could not find Delia (the landlady) and our taxi driver was calling her. Turns out she left her phone in another cottage while she entertained a friend in a different cottage (#6). Then when we found her after walking the grounds she had no reservation. Now this is not a huge deal, it happens and we sorted it because I had confirmation and Martha (the manager? in Italy) forgot to send my information. The problem here is the terrible and disrespectful way we were treated. Delia made us feel like we did something wrong. And when we commented (to the owner on the phone) that our cottage was rented out she got angry. We came to find out that is because she was sleeping there! And it seems she did not want the owner (Alessandro) to know. When we finally got things sorted and she was 'cleaning' the cottage we booked she did not change the sheets!!! She kept walking around grumbling and did not make us feel welcome in any way. Now with all this we noticed what poor shape the cottage and grounds were in. If we were treated better, like paying guests, we could have over looked all of that. But I cannot support a business that treats me so rudely. Funny thing is I read a comment the day before we arrived that said almost the exact same thing. We called our cab driving within 20 minutes and left. I asked for some kind of compensation as we did not stay and received such awful service but was told by the Manager ' you don't stay you don't get money back'. End of story. Ridiculous. Stay away from this place!!!!

The staff were lovely but we were confused and disappointed.

Although the hosts were nice, we had a few issues with the accommodation. The first issue we had was that the information about the name of the place was not provided - It's actually a collection of units in a complex called the 'Italian Guesthouse'. It was a nightmare to find because we didn't have the actual name if the place!? We couldn't reach the manager either when we tried to get help, incredibly frustrating, and we witnessed across the 9 days we were there, many clients having the same problem - not being able to reach the manager. We were not given the accommodation that we booked either. It was a different unit in the complex. We were told this 'was to give us more room' but we would rather have had what we booked. And we noticed in the following days that the manager appeared to be living in the unit we had booked? So I don't know what that was all about. It seems they were using one generic listing on HomeAway, but putting clients into different units. Which was annoying - we booked because of what we saw in the photos which would have been much more private and suited to our needs. The accommodation we ended up being put in we found lacked privacy (it was in the center of the complex and was very exposed with workers and other guests walking by us constantly, and we could hear everything in the flat that adjoined us – which was very noisy). The place lacked security (a pair of sandals disappeared one night, a latch on the bathroom window was broken, the kitchen not able to be secured). Beds and sheets were very poor quality – sheets actually stained, with fixed/stitched rips etc. The kitchen was pretty much just a small gas hob (which didn't work well at all) and a fridge. The details on the listing gave the impression of a fully functioning kitchen. It was not. The kettle wasn't even electric. We had to boil water on the gas hob which took forever. There was no Toaster that I could find. There was no info provided re what to do with rubbish etc. There was no hairdryer. The details of the listing said housekeeping 3/4 times a week - we were there 9 days and they only changed sheets and towels once. There was also a lot of noise being made by workmen doing work on the complex, building extensions to some of the units etc. It was really disruptive - ruined the peacefulness of the place. Access to the property was via a VERY POOR condition unmade bit of road that you pretty much need a 4WD to get down. So we wouldn't recommend sorry. :(

Perfect stay!

The cottage, along with a few other small buildings, is within a well kept garden. The whole is in a nice uphill position with wonderful views on Rodney Bay and surroundings. Description and photos are fully OK even if the roomy terrace/patio would have to be put in more evidence for it is really a top feature. No air conditioning, but it is not needed: caribbean breezes do the job perfectly. Friendly and helpful staff; after a few days we felt as spending time with friends and our feeling didn't change for all the month we spent there.

schönes buntes Haus mitten im Grünen mit Blick auf die Bucht von Rodney Bay

Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war ruhig und mitten in der Natur. Ohne Auto etwas mühsam zum Einkaufen und an den Strand. Nur für Wanderliebhaber. Delia, die für die Unterkünfte zuständig ist, war sehr hilfreich und hat uns einige Tipps gegeben. Nur der Abholdienst mit dem sogenannten Manager vom Fähranleger war sehr enttäuschend. Denn der ließ uns 1 Std. warten um danach jemand anders zu beauftragen, der statt 70-80 ECD gleich 100 verlangt hat. Damals kannten wir die Preise nicht.
