Great location. Small rooms

Location is near to Kirkjufell, which is a good place to see northern light. Room cost is similar to hotel but size is small and basic. Toilets are small too. Room condition is tidy. But the shared kitchen is dirty and needs to be tidied up

Easy check in and check out. Restaurant within walk-in distance. Kitchen was a bit crowded so I am glad we didn’t plan to cook. Just a few minutes away from beautiful view of the water and sunset. We drove for about 5-10 minutes and got to see northern lights. It’s located in a cute small town. Highly recommend.

A reasonable stay

The customer service was outstanding. We booked room 21 for 2 nights, £160 per night. Compared to the other 10 hotels we stayed in across Iceland it had what we needed, but was more basic and cramped. The facilities included are excellent as is the location. I would get rid of the table in the room and have 2 side tables as one bed is against the window. Only 2 hangers and a few hooks. Toilet close to shower, general room a tight squeeze with little room for luggage. View of cars and main road. No noise though, we slept very well. This is a nice place to stay, but we didn’t feel the room we were in was good value for money, but know other rooms were absolutely fine. We were recommended a fabulous restaurant, Mathus, the food was delicious. Great coffee shop recommendation too. Host was great.

Was in the the basement this time. No decorations /walls bare. Shower splatters water all over (short curtain) floor gets very slippery.kitchen stocked very well . Nice place but over priced

Nice for those wanting a kitchen, rooms are small, comforter doesn’t cover tall people.. nice but not a foss hotel…no breakfast and earlier you can get it in town is 8:30

Great stay!

Since this was located in a small fishing town, I wasn’t excepting a whole lot and was very pleasantly surprised. The check-in process was very easy (considering there is no staff on premise). The room was large, bed was comfortable, and shower was great (stayed hot thru 2 back-to-back showers). Would have liked a second pillow for the bed and some hand towels. Other than that, no complaints.

Great place. Large room, Icelandic “double” room (two single beds put together). Large shared kitchen and a good location in town. My only complaint is that the smoke alarm went off at 2AM for no reason and stopped after about 15 seconds so my sleep wasn’t great

The property was clean and well located. The room was very small and when any other room used the shower or flushed the toilet you could hear the water rushing over head (ceiling above). The water rushing sound was loud. Otherwise good.

Location was great. We got lucky and had a room with a view of Kirkjufell out our window. Room and bathroom is small. Kitchen and frig downstairs that everyone could use. Tables too which was nice. It was clean and communication from the host for check-in, etc was really good. You never saw anyone though.

The property has a communal kitchen that allows travelers to cook their own full meals. Very convenient even though we did not cook. Since Iceland food is expensive this was a plus.
