Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac along Mobile Bay, Meme's is the perfect retreat for discerning guests who want to enjoy the beauty of sunrises and sunsets on the water. This waterfront home has two large bedrooms and two newly renovated baths, a well appointed kitchen and plenty of comfy spaces from which you can enjoy the water and the wildlife. Guests often report seeing dolphins playing in the water in front of the covered dock. Pelicans, seagulls, osprey, eagles, and herons abound. This home is also dog friendly and has a fully fenced back yard.

There are two screened porches with rockers, swings, and tables for outdoor dining. The back patio also has a table and chairs plus a charcoal and propane grill. While there is not easy access to the water, the home is only about a mile from the white sand beaches of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve.

The trip to the center of Gulf Shores takes less than 10 minutes. There you will find grocery stores, restaurants and other attractions. Several good restaurants can also be found a few miles West at Jesse's on the Bay or at the Beach Club.

Peaceful Bayfront Cottage

Wonderful stay on the Bay

Thank you for sharing this Bay front cottage with us. We enjoyed the location, and the spacious living quarters offered by Meme's Cottage including the bay side screened porch and living room/dining room layout. Very clean and well-kept. Nice kitchen and baths. Close to beaches. GREAT PLACE!

Tranquil getaway cottage

Meme’s cottage is just the place to relax and enjoy life away from the real world. Nice times on the screened in porch having lunch or just enjoying lemonade and sweet tea as the breeze blows. Great time fishing and just enjoying the sand by the water. Loved watching the dolphin swim back and forth by the dock. Just pure relaxation while you’re there.

Wonderful home on the water

This house was beautiful and as described (actually the pictures don't do it justice!). We loved the view from the porch and the deck. It was quiet and peaceful yet close enough to downtown Gulf Shores. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets and even saw dolphins. 10/10, would definitely recommend!!

Our Happy Place

We have been staying at the Bay cottage once a year for nearly 10 years ! I think that says it all ! We love Memes ‘ , always clean , decorated beautifully and quiet 🤫 so restful and peaceful. ! Already planning our next trip . Oh and the fresh crabs caught off the pier were the sweetest I have ever eaten !

Adorable little cottage on the Bay

The property was exactly as described and even better in person! The addition of having a beautiful shaded yard was ideal with older adults and young children! The home is very updated with so much room to spread out! The views were beautiful and the area is so peaceful!! I have already been looking for dates to return!! Beautiful home and ideal host! Serenity NOW!

Meme’s Cottage is tastefully decorated with all of the amenities we needed. Martha was responsive to needs. She informed us of a problem with the freezer when we contacted her for our check-in. She made every effort to complete repairs during our stay. After 2 repair trips, with the problem unresolved, she delivered large cooler of ice. We would return to Meme’s in a heartbeat if back in the Gulf Shores area.

This is our second time staying at this property and it was just as lovely as the first time!! Great location to downtown Gulf Shores but far enough away to be peaceful. The property is well maintained and clean. Martha, the owner, was extremely easy to work with and prompt with communication. Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay. House was great and perfect for our needs. Sunset was amazing from the dock or porch. Fishing from the dock was fun. The house was in a very quiet area away from the crowds. Neighbors were friendly. Just a short drive to Gulf Shores or Fort Morgan public beaches (we went to both). It was also a very short drive for groceries or a plethora of restaurants. Our dog loved the yard and the wildlife. Screened porch was amazing when the mosquitos became a nuisance (really only 2 evenings for us). The view was great from the living room as well. Very relaxing much needed vacation. Thanks for hosting our family.

The pictures of this beautiful home is what attracted me to bring my wife to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary; however, the experience of what we had and the location is what will bring us back! Our host was so nice and the home on the bay was so clean and beautiful. Downtown life with restaurants and entertainment is only a 20 minute drive. The location was peaceful and relaxing! We even got in some fishing, reading, cooked out on the grill and took in a movie. A wonderful anniversary! I will definitely book this again!

Slice of Paradise

Meme’s Guest Cottage

This home exceeded expectations. The house was lovely and well equipped with kitchenware, games, reading material, and a very comfortable King bed. Most notably, the front fenced in yard was perfect for sunny outdoor breakfasts. The large waterside yard was perfect for sunsets and a bonfire. We hope to return soon!

This is a great location with good distance to all activities if you want to have a quiet spot to relax. It was very good for our dog to have space and easy with the fenced in yard. We so enjoyed the covered dock to watch the sunset. The view is your big reward in staying here.

Lovely Cottage!

Such a great place in a perfect location, right on the water! Everything was as described. Cottage is on a quiet street, but within a reasonable distance to stores, restaurants and golf courses. Martha, our host, was great! Check in was easy and very responsive to any questions or issues. Cottage was clean and so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
