Party of five

Great Location right on the beach. The rooms were clean the only issue was climbing the stairs. We planned to do some cleaning before we left and the day before we were gonna check out we noticed that we did not have a vacuum. I messaged the owner and they delivered a brand new one for the room. I would stay here again with my family.

Family Beach Trip

We have been renting Harbor House condos for about 30 + years now. We love each condo we stay in. It’s quiet in the neighborhood, easy access to the beach and very family oriented. Will continue to stay here every year. Highly recommend!

Perfect Spot!

This condo was perfect for our group of 11! Beautiful view from balconies and sunroom, perfect location, right on the beach! Condo and pool were clean. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Gulf Shores. Hope to be back to Harbor House A1 next year!!

Wonderful!

The Penthouse was FAB!!!!!! the layout was great and plenty of room. The extra sunroom for the little one was great! Beds great! Kitchen great! Right on beach great!!!!! We want to go back so bad! Thanks Denny for a wonderful place to stay! We will be coming back. And Gulf Shores and the beach, the strip and places to eat were just awesome.

Great space and a perfect location!

This condo was perfect for our family of seven. The open living room, comfortable furniture and great TV made our morning and evenings very enjoyable. The nicely appointed kitchen allowed us to cook several meals and store all our groceries. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms all of which are tastefully decorated. The enclosed porch, literally on the beach, was a great place to watch the waves and walkers or to see the weather come in. We are already looking ahead to our next visit to this property!

Loved the location

Agree with other reviews for this property. Bathrooms need an update. Jets not working in deep tub. Kitchen is well equipped. The view is spectacular but for us we will not go back because of steps and no elevator.

Great place to stay

This was our first time booking a beach condo thru VRBO and this place was fabulous! The unit was so nice, totally upgraded, and kitchen had every utensil/appliance you could ever need! More than enough space for two families of four. And the four seasons porch was worth ever step we climbed to the 3rd floor. Early risers could play cards, have coffee, etc and still see the beach without distrubing others. The dolphins put on a show in the mornings, and the lightening was spectacular at night, all from the safety and comfort of this porch. I would certainly recommend this condo to others and may even book it again.

Excellent location and even better than expected!

We had such a great time staying at this condo! The location was so easy to find and in such a perfect spot. Right on the beach and not busy. To be able to just walk down from the condo and straight out on the sand in just a few steps was amazing. We walked in and were so pleasantly surprised at how large the space was. Perfect for the 9 of us, giving us space to spread out , whether in the bedrooms, spacious living room, 4 seasons porch with the amazing view or the balconies, it was so roomy! Lots of nice upgrades to the unit and the furnishings. The owner was such a pleasure to work with and quickly responded and resolved an issue with the air. Then gave some great suggestions of where to eat. Looking forward to when we can come back again in the future. Would stay here again!!

Excellent Vacation!

Hard to find anything wrong with this penthouse....other than you have to leave eventually. Very clean and nicely updated with new furniture, excellent beds, nice galley kitchen with 2 refrigerators and a washer and dryer. The views are nothing short of spectacularly serene with unobstructed panoramic views of the beach.....perfect enclosed sunroom might be the best bedroom on the beach. Great for morning coffee as you watch the waves - cue the dolphins! Conveniently located for walks to shopping and beachside dining...or cook in and have dinner on the balcony...our first visit to Gulf Shores and I have to say we were extremely impressed with the whole experience. Shared the unit with another family ( 3 kids 4 adults total) and it worked perfectly. The property owner is extremely helpful and attentive...I can't believe the weather is always so perfect - nice sunny days, cool breeze and you are literally steps from the water. The beach is wide with white sand and kept very clean. The pool is a nice way to end the day on the beach before you clean up and head to any of the spots for dinner - oysters at $12.95 per dozen??? Yes please!! I hesitated to give this such a good review for fear that we won't be able to get this unit next year!! Very quiet spot with all the amenities of home - that is if you live in a penthouse above a beautiful white sandy beach!

This house was beautiful inside with amazing views. It was easy to get to the beach. For those coffee lovers, right across the street is piere 33, they have amazing esspresso! The only thing i suggest is bringing more blankets if you have a large group, or kids who wont share blankets as there really isnt enough blankets for the pull out beds. (Their was enough sheets though!) Overall we would stay here again! Great location, great house, easy and quick access to beach... doesnt get much better than that!

Spacious and good for the price

Good: reasonable price. Checkin was easy. Location was great. Right on beach. Heated pool. Near restaurants and shopping. Spacious. Great parking. Loved the finished balcony. Not great: No elevator made it difficult on 3rd floor for loading and unloading. The property was clean but in average condition overall. Decor was dated. Several Repairs needed. Undersized water heater for a unit that sleeps 11.

Wonderful View, Large Space, Very Comfortable, Unique Penthouse Apt.

We shared this unique penthouse with another couple. Because it was a split apartment with two bedrooms and a bath on one side and one bedroom with bath on the other, we had plenty of privacy and space. The view of the ocean was superior. As it was cold outside for part of our visit, we enjoyed a cozy and comfortable place to sit and view the people, beach, ocean, birds, and dolphins. As other reviewers have mentioned, the three flights of stairs presented a challenge and there was some wear visible on appliances and furniture. The two main bedrooms had king beds that were very comfortable. The dryer broke after one use. Someone stopped in to look at it in less than 10 minutes after Beach Ball Properties was called! It was fixed the next morning. I would very much recommend this unit for anyone that can manage the steps. (We are 76.)

Christmas Family Vaca

Perfect location right on the beach with an incredible sunroom gave lots of extra space. The kitchen had everything needed for family dinners.

We really enjoyed the condo. The sunroom is nice for watching the waves and wildlife. The walks up the stairs are not fun. The buildings small elevator for groceries and luggage no longer works. The jacuzzi style tub doesn’t work

A1 Penthouse

Nice place, but the oven didn't work, nor did the jacuzzi tub jets and ran out of hot water before it was even half full. Dryer didn't heat up very well, so it took forever to dry anything. Also it's up on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators.

Wasnt handicapped accessible

The internet didnt work , the front refrigerator didnt get cold on the bottom half, hot water was very limited. Also its not handicapped accessible when i put that as a filter this unit pulled up as handicapped accessible. My sister is in a wheelchair most of the time so that was very hard to get her up to the penthouse .

Vacation in Gulf Shores at Harbor House A1

My vacation in Gulf Shores staying at Harbor House A1 was fabulous! The condo has everything you need. It's right on the Beach, so there is easy access and you are able to go back and forth to and from the condo as you need. It has a wonderful pool if you don't feel like being on the sand. We were able to make dinner there some nights instead of going out and when we felt like going out, there are plenty of great places close to the condo. I will definitely go back there for another vacation!!

Penthouse Perfection

Our stay at Harbor House A1 was absolute perfection. Plenty of room for everyone with a large living room and the Sunroom was an added bonus, with a spectacular view. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning while sipping coffee and watching the sunrise. Beach access is super simple and we enjoyed a view of the ocean, while cooking dinner each evening. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances you need, and we even found a blender for our milkshake craving. The bedrooms were very spacious and the front two overlook the ocean. We couldn't be happier with our stay and we plan to return again next year.

Stayed in penthouse A1. There was no lighting in the stairwell. All cabinets and drawers should have knobs on them. The 2 bedrooms on the right side of the penthouse were extremely warm. Parking passes were mentioned , but none were left. Nice place overall. Great view of the Gulf. Very clean and would recommend to a friend.

Nice weekend

We had a wonderful time staying at the condo. The inside is very nice and it was one of very few condos that had 3 beds size full or bigger. The only complaint I have is that the parking for the penthouse was tight for a full size vehicle doable but tight. The beach access was very nice too, easy to get out there, but not busy. All in all it was a great weekend!
