A Cottage in the Beautiful Woods
We had a good time. A caveat- Ramgarh is not a place for shopping or adventure sports and doesn't have the hustle-bustle of Nainital, but it is a place where you can sit down, slow down and reinvigorate yourself. The view from our room's balcony was breathtaking. The room was beautiful- the wood furnishings made it a quintessential old-world cottage. The surrounding woods make for a great trekking trail.
On the flip side, the meals were a tad expensive (and since the place is a tad secluded, one is left with few options if staying in Ramgarh) and there was no a la carte room service choices. I hope this is added soon. One must remember to haggle for cab rates. Also, the service levels were inconsistent.
All in all, we liked the place. The food was uniformly excellent. The little library had a good selection of books. I would recommend this resort to all those who're looking for a place to relax in the arms of nature.
