"The property is showing its age. One wing of the hotel was a long walk from the front desk and there are no elevators. Additionally, there were no fully closable curtains. This meant people could see into the room at night and light from outside could not be kept out. I thought it very odd. Other than that, my stay was pleasant."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and spices/seasonings. Our only feedback would be for the property owners to add curtains to the back windows and sliding door of the property. Not for privacy but for the heat from the sun coming in and heating up the cottage. With no Air conditioning, that would help immensely keeping the inside cool. Finally, having to take all garbage when checking out is not ideal. If there is a cleaning staff coming into the cottage to clean, they should be able to take the garbage."

"We were unfamiliar with the Haliburton Post House and booked two nights , mid week, on a whim to get out of town. The room was beautiful, the food and wine selection was great. We took advantage of their waterfront and toys on what may have been the hottest day of the year. Thanks to the staff who made us feel welcome and were the highlight of our stay."

"We stayed here somewhat unexpectedly, when a heat wave cut our camping trip short. What a gem of a spot! Not only did they accommodate us last minute, the cabin was clean and well thought out with all amenities we could need. The lake was beautiful and the dock was a great place to enjoy. We would like to return for a longer stay sometime as we didn't want to leave."

"This was easily the best experience we had renting a cottage. David was extremely easy to communicate with and provided everything we needed to enjoy our time away. The cottage was perfectly clean with ample bedding and linens. Washer and dryer if needed and the property was amazing. We had no issues with any of the amenities. There were lots of pots and pans, coffee maker and kettle. Town is super close and neighbors were quiet. The lake is amazing, very deep and serene. We can't wait to go back :)"

"We had a great time here, Stephanie and Dave made us feel at home, from welcoming us in, taking pictures of us without us having to ask them, a celiac friendly breakfast, water sports and friendly fellow visitors! It was a last minute getaway for us and it did not feel like we needed anything as they have thought of everything we would possibly need. Thank you guys, we will be back ❤️"
