“Stayed for 1 night in July - despite booking in February, the room we were allocated (303) seemed to be a last resort room. We were in a room in the roof that only had a narrow strip of floor where you could stand up fully - I'm 5'10 so not a giant, but had to walk around with an arm raised to avoid bumping my head. The bathroom had no mirror. The toilet seat was oval sitting on a square basin There were no hangers in the wardrobe. At the rate being charged - I am hugely disappointed. We were……

“Perfect for easy access to train station and Piece Hall. Rooms dated but clean enough and even though it’s in a central location, we were not disturbed by noise.”

“We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy……

“Was travelling by myself for two nights for an event in Hebden bridge. This hotel was cosy and welcoming and the staff were all very helpful. The food was really good with a varied menu, and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.”

“The property is in a great location for The Piece Hall and some great restaurants. The property is perfect for a short stay and was clean with the usual amenities. The communal areas need attention and the area outside the entrance door is by the refuse bins which isn’t ideal but we were aware of that when booking. ”
