We had one night stay with our kids. It was easy to check in as it was done digitally. The room was large and clean, parking included. We didn’t try the breakfast, it cost extra, there is a bakery close where you get fresh bread and they add whatever you want to it while waiting. Wifi worked well

I had a comfortable basement en-suite twin room for use as a single room. The bedroom had a comfortable single bed for my use. It had a large washbasin and large mirror in front of it. There was a writing desk with chair. The desk had a lamp, and phone to reception, and above the desk was a flat screen tv with remote. The beds had lights and there was a light for the room. The tiled shower room had a shower cubicle and w.c. Sufficient towels, toilet rolls, paper tissues, and shower/ hand gel dispensers were provided. The bedroom and hotel entrance could be accessed with an electronic keycard. My only problem was that most days, the hot water from the tap was barely warm The buffet - style breakfast was more than adequate and cost 10 Euros. Please note that the reception desk is NOT manned late in the evening or overnight. Although the hotel in Norderstedt is not strictly-speaking in Hamburg, transport is good with local buses and an affordable U-Bahn (metro/tube - style trains), also S-Bahns, buses and ferries. The Hamburg-Card for various lengths of stay provide access to public transport and give some discounts to, say, museums. These reasonably-priced cards are obtainable from ticket machines at stations by paying cash or using a payment card.

Unfit for hotel use!!

The room was unfit for staying in. There were mould in the corners and on the walls and stains (blood?) on one wall. We did not stay in the hotel but found another place to stay. We have requested a refund but the hotel refuse, and say that they cannot do anything about the mould!!!!

Blood on sink and mold on ceilings

The stay was a big disappointment. We stayed in a 5 person room which had blood on the sink and a very dirty toilet. We were moved to a 4 person bedroom with an extra bed. This room had mold on the bathroom ceiling, the water tap in the bathroom was very dirty, full of spiderwebs and because of the extra bed, too small for 5 persons. I was advised to send a mail to the manager, but the manager doesn't care as we did not get any reaction after a mail, a reminder mail and a phonecal to ask for a reaction. We'll never stay here again!! See the pictures of the blood on the sink, the dirty water tap, the spider webs and the mold on the ceilings
