Everything about the Tower Road Motel was just excellent. Clean & tidy, everything you needed for either a one-night stay or more. Close to Matamata for what ever you needed. It was just perfect for travelling around the whole area and I have recommended it to my friend who lives in Matamata.

We stayed on a very cold night and the airconditioning was on to heat our room when we arrived which was much appreciated, comfy bed and nice hot shower was great so it was a really nice stay thankyou,

The price was right, and the accommodation was close to town, however, not really easy walking distance, but a very short drive. We went to Hobbiton from the information center in Matamata by bus and found that very convenient. We ate it a little restaurant where there was a guitar player, entertaining in the front, and shared fish and chips, which were very good. The hotel was perfect for our needs. It was a bit small in the hotel for the first night that was when the key was in the door on arrival. Everything was easy. Slightly dated, but clean and comfortable.

Tower Road Motel was a lovely place to stay for two nights and isn’t far from the town center. The Studio unit was spotlessly clean, great pressure in the shower and bed was very comfortable. Andy had turned the heat pump on in our unit prior to our arrival which was greatly appreciated. We would happily stay here in the future.

The Tower Motel is in a great location, just minutes from downtown, restaurants and cafes and from all kinds of wonderful hikes as well as Hobbiton The rooms were sparkling clean and the little kitchenettes had every amenity. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Madamata area.

Lovely motel in the heart of Matamata. Clean rooms, easy parking, great amenities within the room, and lovely setting, including farmland, horses, and a wonderful walking path right outside the hotel. Also, very close to Hobbiton and for visiting the area around this lovely city.
