"We got there the staff was nice! Reception staff was very helpful. Going to our 2nd night,Room was good, a little complications when we had a leak i think it was because of the a/c. But they fixed it right away. Resort definitely clean. Beach is BEAUTIFUL. They got the best Sunset. Food was good, staff are DEFINITELY AMAZING! Pool bartenders was the best! They are sooo hood on making drinks and they are very friendly and so entertaining! I love our new found amigos Juan & Ronal :) all in all i'd come back to this resort again and definitely would recommend to fam and friends♥️ Thank you to all Bahia Principe El Portillo."

"The staff was exceptionally pleasant. Everyone was helpful, friendly and polite. Stephy at The Market Cafe was a sweetheart! She escorted us every morning arm in arm to our seats. Yeimi at Concierge was very helpful. He made sure everything was taken care of from room service to airport transport. The entertainment team was so much fun! Mini Baby, Pucca, the DJ kept us entertained even on a rainy day! Luis at The Hibachi put on a fantastic show and meal! The bar tenders, Erica, Ariana and other servers were all exceptional! Carmen kept our room in mint condition."

"Absolute best birthday week getaway! Staff was super friendly and patient with my non-Spanish-speaking self. We were able to upgrade to the adults only side, which I wasn't aware was an option until reading reviews online while waiting in the airport. Resort is the perfect size to be walkable, but they have a shuttle to get you around if needed. Food was delicious at every restaurant and buffet. The pool was delightful and the beach was breathtaking. The shows we saw were decent, but we went for the beach, food, and pool. We didn't do any excursions. I only have 3 things I wish were better: 1. The water along the beach was murky and not great for snorkeling (of course I don't think there's anything that can really be done about that). More like VA Beach than FL Keys. 2. There aren't self- service non-alcoholic drinks other than water so we were ordering juices 2 glasses at a time. Would be nice to be able to get your own. 3. The room had a mildew smell like moldy towels, likely from a need to deep clean the vents. Seemed like they pumped a sweet, more pleasant, fragrance into the vents some mornings, and I eventually became nose blind, but the clothes I hung up had that smell I noticed when unpacking back home. Overall, great trip and I'd definitely go back again or recommend to friends who like to relax."

"Hotel is mediocre. Decent dining, beach and pools are nice. The rooms are dated and the mattresses are absolutely awful. It was like sleeping on a rock. There is really not much in the form of entertainment or things to do at the resort. If you are going to just relax by the pool and on the beach for a decent price then okay if you can get past the hardest bed you have ever slept in."

"My stay at Doromas in Las Terrenas was truly exceptional. The property is brand new, having recently opened in November 2026, and it absolutely shows in every detail. All of the amenities—including the pools, gym, spa, kids’ pool, paddle boats, and paddle courts—are state-of-the-art, impeccably maintained, and in excellent condition. The rooms were extremely comfortable, with brand-new beds and pillows that made for a very relaxing stay. Everything throughout the property was spotless, tastefully designed, and beautifully decorated. The elevators and facilities all felt modern, efficient, and luxurious. One of the highlights of the hotel is its stunning beachfront setting. The private beach area is peaceful and beautifully maintained, while the calm waterfront makes it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing by the ocean. The staff was courteous, attentive, and professional throughout our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would especially recommend stopping by to say hello to Antonio, the property manager from Costa Rica, who did an outstanding job making sure we felt welcomed and taken care of during our visit. Doromas is definitely a must-stay destination in Las Terrenas. We had an amazing experience and look forward to returning. Wishing everyone who visits as wonderful a time as we had."
